    Is there a way to play Dragon Quest for Android in Japanese?

    So I'm really feeling like playing the original Dragon Quest games, and since I don't own a Switch, the only legal way to play it that I have is the Android version. The thing is I would also like to play it in Japanese to practise while playing it. Anyone knows a way to play it in Japanese?

    Sniflheim is locked and I can't proceed.

    I finished visiting Nautica and meeting the Queen and now have to find orbs. I travelled beyond Michelle's little island to this land with an all-girls academy and retrieved the orb from there.

    Then I went to Sniflheim where my Rainbough keeps indicating that there is an orb close by...

    However, the doors are frozen shut to the kingdom and I am told to go around the back. But when I go around the back the door is also locked...

    Rab says he's seen the symbol on the door before. "Let's see where Lerelei's harp can take us?".

    No idea what he's on about. At the moment the game is pretty vague about the direction I am meant to take (kind of annoying as I just keep wandering around aimlessly along the sea).

    Hey I love taking my time and enjoying games but I also like completing them and I always worry I missed a chest or something in a location and with caves having very little light even with a torch I always feel I might have missed a chest. I was wondering if there any good maps I can use to check one last time. And to use in future replays

    So, I reached the kingdom of Argonia, and beat the C-Rank Monster Arena challenge. I feel like my team of Potbelly, Capers and Hackzilla is starting to be outclassed, though. What monsters should I collect to add in to my ranks of loyal monter allies? I did just recruit the King of Dumbira.

    Im far from an expert but I haven't seen a single piece of text out right saying this: TO RESET MONSTER ENCOUNTER RATE IN DQ V USE HOLY WATER. I would've liked to know this after spending a lot of time under the effect of monster munchies🗿

    DQ XI Console

    Hi!

    I played pretty much all dq games on the ds ever since i was little and stopped doing so a few years ago and just realised that there already is a new dq out available in the west.

    the problem i have now is that i dont know which console i should go for, i dont have a ps4, switch, xbox or a brand new pc, are there any differences content wise? and does the pc version require an up to date pc? also any recommendations for future dq games, since i would like to invest in one console/pc and play the next few dq all on that same console

    It's a weird question, but... how is DQ builder 2?

    I've been meaning to play another Dragon Quest, and I've played them all. Pretty much the only one left is 8 (because I don't have a 3DS now). Then, I remembered about DQ Builder.

    How that game holds up? Like it has that same aura/energy/comedy/parody like the other Dragon Quests or how so?

    DQ XI progress/twist question

    I played DQ XI S back when it came out for the Switch and got through to the point of doing the coliseum fights where Jade/Rab join your party shortly afterwards, and I remember trying out the new members, explored around a little more, but ultimately didn't progress the story past that point (or if I did I completely forgot what came after).

    I remember more or less enjoying the game and it's difficulty was at a good level (limiting xp from monsters and harder enemy options) that the combat was fun/challenging enough during boss fights, but the story didn't exactly keep me hooked which is likely why I stopped.

    My question is how far through the game was I at that point, and was the "big twist" that I remember people mentioning (never got spoil'ed as to specifics of what said twist was though fortunately) still on the horizon or did I pass it already not knowing that whatever plot point I got through was what people were supposedly clamoring about? I would have to assume that the big twist is still to come because while the story up to that point wasn't exactly bad, it wasn't anything unexpected/exciting either.

    Basically, if I re-start the game do I still have something good to look forward to?
