I beat my first Dragon Quest! I've honestly slept on this series, for far too long now. But I can honestly say that Dragon Quest V was one of the best jrpgs I've ever played!

Got a couple more that I plan on playing after this. Dragon Quest XI, and Dragon Quest VIII. I beat this game yesterday, and I'm still craving more Dragon Quest!

i've been playing a lot of DQ3 and wanted to make a little doodle of the occasional grinding

The Dragon Quest anime (1991) is linked to the game franchise?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2022 01:21 PM PST

[My English is not that good]
I started to play Dragon Quest recently (I'm in the second game) and got myself interested in the anime, but I don't know if I would get some spoilers from the anime.

In DQ main series is the only speaking MC the DQ1 hero?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2022 11:53 AM PST

He doesn't speak until the end where he has a line like "(hero name): No, sir. If I was to become a ruler it's be over my own kingdom" or something. Is this the only instance of a DQ main character having actual lines?

Dragon Quest Dai Episode 72 Screenshot. This episode was amazing. The animation went hard.

I made a video about the history of Turn-Based JRPGs and how Dragon Quest influenced modern titles like Kingdom Hearts. I'd love some feedback, if anyone has a moment.

Are advanced classes neccesary to beat this game?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2022 12:04 PM PST

So I didn't know that class are available in this game until REALLY late in the adventure, so all of my party members only have mastered one job. I have available the pegasus so the final dungeon is just ahead (I guess?) Should I grind for the Advanced classes?

I'm getting dragon quest 11 for PC, what controller should I buy?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2022 10:11 AM PST

My price range is $10-30, what is a good controller for dragonquest that is comfortable and most compatible with the game?

Why is Hero looking at Aishe like that

First time playing the series, should I play DQ8 or DQ11?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2022 02:21 AM PST

Do you think Dragon Quest 12 will have a 2D mode like 11? Would you even want it? Do you care? If it does have it how should they do it?

    Posted: 04 Mar 2022 01:26 AM PST

    Should I play DQ 1, and 3 before I play 11?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2022 06:29 AM PST

I don't mind doing so to be honest. I'm just asking if I should wait to play 11, and play these first.

    Martina Oneesama

    Posted: 05 Mar 2022 06:26 AM PST

i finally reached the part where Row and Martina finally told the Luminary that Row is his gramps and Martina is the princess, and I'm like crying 😭😭😭

Especially how Row wanted to be left alone to grief after many years, and then getting hit with Martina telling us how Queen Eleanor was like a mother to her and she want to protect the Luminary 😭😭😭

Level 65, Act 3 (which so far, I'll admit I'm not a big fan of) and I just learned that I can switch my party members out DURING combat. Ha ha ha I feel like a fool.

    Posted: 04 Mar 2022 03:42 PM PST

That's it, that's the post. Though I'll also happily explain why I think Act 3 is just....not great.

    >! Basically having to re-do character progression (worse) while simultaneously making a decision that I'm not sure was actually the correct decision and felt strangely selfish (going back in time for one person while making other justifications). And many of the side-quests have turned into slogs that just feel like a waste of time. The story suddenly feels like it should have been over in act 2. But I do like what I think is a connection to DQ3. But we'll see !<

Sooo….. I had gotten I/II/III for Christmas, and just bought XI since I saw it for a reasonable price on Amazon, but there’s just one small problem…. I still haven’t gotten around to buying the Switch console itself yet.

Is there a mp regen accessory you can get in the beginning of dq11

    Posted: 04 Mar 2022 02:39 PM PST

I played it on pc a while back and I seem to recall having something right from the start that would passively restore mp after each round. How do I get it? I'm on Xbox now.
