    How much longer left in Dragon Quest VII 3DS? (mild spoilers)

    I got into the Dragon Quest series last year with Dragon Quest XI S. Since then, I have finished I-VI, VIII, XI S, and Heroes 2. It has become my favorite video game series of all time.

    I finally decided to take on the enormous task of Dragon Quest VII. While, I love the core gameplay and the job system, I am getting a little tired of it. I am about 45 hours in and just got to the past version of Aeolus Vale.

    What is making me grow tired of the game is how repetitive it is. My biggest issue is that you have to keep going back to the same areas and basically do most of the dungeons twice. Plus, there is a lot of going back and forth multiple times between places which really stretches things out when it isn't needed for the story or gameplay. The game would already be longer than most JRPGs without all this padding and having to go through most areas twice, so it is getting tedious.

    The other thing is that this is maybe the easiest video game I ever played, like even easier than some of the Kirby games, so that is really saying something. There were occasional mild difficulty spikes, but 99% of the battles are so incredibly simple that this feels like this is a meant to train people on how to play JRPGs instead of provide the slightest channel to experienced players.

    So, I am wondering at my pace, how much longer do I have before I finish the main story?

    Just ‘completed’ DQXI now on to the post game where the real fun begins! Thoughts below (Spoiler free)

    I've really enjoyed my journey with DQXI, of the ones I've played to the end (7,8,9) this is probably my 2nd favourite behind 8. They've done wonders with the world building and the character development was really good. I never felt like they tried to rush a character's arc too much and they all had some really amazing story moments. Only thing I can mark it down for is the music, but that's been discussed to death so I'll just leave it at that. Onward to the next chapter!

    Need help making a decision regarding Dragon Quest XI S on PS4/Xbox.

    I'm currently unsure of what to do. Because I currently own Dragon Quest XI S on the Switch and I've made it to Gandolia with nearly 20 hours clocked in, and level 22.

    Now I could continue on with the Switch version. But I know the PS4/Xbox version is going to have a higher resolution and frame rate. Which would be nice to experience, I don't play the Switch in portable mode often, so that isn't really a plus for me. Keep in mind, I still haven't finished the game and I'm nowhere close to finishing it, so I really would like to play the best version of the game possible during my first run, since I really only play through JRPG's once. I'm just unsure how I feel about starting over and having to play the first 20 hours again.

    Which is why I'm posing this question. What would you guys do? Or if you're in a similar position as me, do you plan on getting the PS4/Xbox version? Or simply continuing on with the Switch version? I'd appreciate any answers given to me as it will influence my decision.

    DQ 11 savegame request

    Dragon Quest 4 Appraisal Crash

    So I am playing DQ4 for Android and I just started chapter 3 and every time I try to appraise an item my game locks up.

    Will I be missing out on anything good if I just skip appraising stuff for the whole game? And if so does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue?

    Are DQ 4, 5, 6 all direct sequel to each other? Asking because I just bought the lot on Ebay. Very excited as well. I only played DQ XI and craving for more dragon quest!
