| Posted: 10 Sep 2020 08:20 AM PDT So I am finally getting around to replaying one of my favorite games on the switch. I've gone through and gotten a vamp/lewd hero and my class consists of a fighter/monk, a priest and a wizard. When I was young I played and best this on the NES but I recall I found a "cheat" in the game where you kept getting warriors at Patty's place and selling their equipment. Eventually it transforms into having a demon axe(?), a really great although cursed weapon that made the warrior one shot virtually everything until baramos. Now, I don't recall if that was because of a game genini or something else, my cousin had a GG but I didn't and I played it at their house over the summer. I'm curious if anyone has tried this on the switch. It could be my memory is crap now, it was last played in the 80s, or if this is just part of having the GG? [link] [comments] | ||

| A really noob question about farming Posted: 10 Sep 2020 07:58 AM PDT So, I am pretty much a noob when it comes to turn-based RPGs since I have only played most Pokemon games, FFX and DOSII so I dont know too much about farming, strategies and all that. I felt like for example in FFX I was always underleveled or needed to play better and I recently started DQXI and I don't want to feel the same way (mainly because half of the bosses would take me a dozen tries till I got lucky and barely beat it). So, how do I exactly know when I am underleveled? As far as I know, I can't see the level of the enemies and since this isn't like Pokemon or DOS where there are lots of obligatory battles, I don't know how many enemies I should be beating. I can go through most places without coming across with more than one or two enemies and that's obviously not enough but I also feel like going towards any enemy I see might be too much? Can anyone give me tips for when to farm and in general for the game? I know maybe this is a stupid post but I want to enjoy the game and I sometimes feel like I have no idea about what I am doing. Posted: 09 Sep 2020 09:15 PM PDT So, besides the Main games, I've noticed that DQ games tend to make your party customizable, or create a new MC, as in DQ Builders, DQ of the Stars, and DQ Walk. And DQ Heroes, the only game that had the perfect opportunity to reunite lots of DQ characters, and making non-playable characters, playable, has a really shy roster compared to games of that genre. From what I've searched, DQ Rivals is the game that brings the most of the Main games characters, although it's not localized. Im just wondering why there's no spin-off/party/mobile game that focus on the characters, interactions between characters from different games, and such; I'm only saying this because it feels bad getting interested in a character from an old DQ game, and get no content aside from the game they're in.
