    I have never played a dragon quest game before but I've had some friends recommend them to me and I know nothing about the story or anything and they've told me that XI is a good place to start, so I'm wondering is it that easy to get into or will I just be really confused with what's going on?

    I'm playing my first DragonQuest on xbox gamepass and have fallen in love with it. I love the combat and I love spending hours grinding out levels. But these "Monsters" are way too cute and I feel guilty every time I chase them down and commence the slaughter. Not guilty enough to give up that sweet experience and phat coin though. And don't forget that loot. Never forget the loot, those feather caps aren't going to make themselves.

    And whoever gave the sabercubs the ability to frolic freely in the middle of a battle is a special kind of monster.

    Bloodletter instakill chance?

    So, a Bloodletter+3 has a 12%chance of instantly killing a target. If I have Erik wield two of them, does that mean he has a 24% chance in total, and does Instant Death work on bosses like Dora-In-Grey ?

    So the end of Dragon Quest XI, when you can choose to undo Mordegon's victory and save Veronica...I FELT that choice. Going back in time was undoing so much character growth...Sylvando and Erik...Rab...so much peace they had gained. Going back would lose all that. But Veronica! Still, it felt hard ...

    But then there was the couple in Arboria.

    Before you go to the first forest, they talk about their infertility journey and how excited they are for their baby. After the World Tree falls, they will tell you how their infant son died shortly afterwards, and their grief.

    Just this year I had a son after a long struggle with infertility. Heck, I'd bought DQXI as a game to play through pregnancy and baby time.

    I WOULD HAVE DONE ANYTHING TO GO BACK IN TIME AND SAVE THAT COUPLE'S BABY.

    And so I did.

    I'll hug my son tighter when he wakes in the morning.

    Hello ! I'm playing Dragon Quest XI on switch and...

    Despite being a good game so far I just can't hear the music of the exploration/combats part anymore (I've enabled the orchestra version that is available on switch)... I've had enough of it :( ! On my last session I had to mute the DQ11 music and add some Xenoblade Chronicles 2 soundtracks instead !

    Which by the way made me really nostalgic about XC2 as it's one of my favourite JRPG of all time and the soundtracks are just gorgeous and make me so emotional... Which isn't really good while playing DQ11 lol as I start to do some comparaisons even with their big differences.

    I feel quite sad that for a big JRPG like DQ11 they haven't worked on the soundtracks... The journey would have been way more special if towns would have their own unique music theme... Same for the exploration roads... This is a big deal breaker as soundtracks are really important to me but this won't stop me and I will still continue the journey...

    Is the music get a bit better later in the game? I doubt it but I still ask lol. I'm still at the beginning of the game I guess. I'm doing the quest for the kids at Gondolia.

    Who can feel this too?

    I'm at this part and I'm trying to semi-rush the dungeon. The average level of my party is approximately level 50. Apparently, there are a few treasures that I missed. I'm on the 4th level. I don't mind missing some monsters on the bestiary for this dungeon since most of them of are rare spawn.

    My question: -Is my level good enough to tackle the bosses? -For the treasures I missed, is there a way to get them later on in the game?

    I'm not sure if there are missable things in the game. That's why I'm asking.
