Am I setting myself up for failure? [DQXI spoilers] Posted: 02 Jan 2021 09:26 AM PST I'm currently ~24 hours in to DQXI, I recently defeated tentacular and obtained the third orb, and I'm currently in the eerie eryie, grinding a bit before I go fuck up whoever this bird boss is. My strategy so far has been raw power. My first lineup is the luminary, Erik, Rab, and Jade. I keep Rab because he's a great healer/supporter when he needs to be, but if I've got the field set up in my advantage and a party with enough health, then he can deal some decent damage. Erik can deal quite a bit of damage too, I like using boulderbringer, and sleeper hit puts the enemy to sleep more often than not, letting him deal some nasty damage with persecutter. The luminary is just okay. He deals decent damage, but he's a bit tankier than the rest of the party, so I'm tending to him less with healing spells than I do others, plus he knows midheal, allowing him to support when he needs too. Jade though. She's a fucking monster with the claws, plus the character abilities to boost them. She is hands down the uncontested backbone of my team. The damage she deals is crazy, especially with hardclaw. She is the heaviest hitter on this team, her only drawback being limited MP, so I can't spam hardclaw. Her other abilities all deal good damage though. So now to my question: I feel like I'm still early-ish in the game, and dealing with the easier of the bosses. Is my strategy going to hold up the rest of the game? Should I try to incorporate more magic in my strategy instead of my heal n' deal method? [link] [comments]

How would you rank DQVII 3DS version? Posted: 02 Jan 2021 07:29 AM PST Heyo, I've recently finished DQXI and it rekindled my love for JRPGS, I've also played DQIX (fave game from my childhood) and DQVIII, and I'm now starting Chrono Trigger. The Legacy bosses from IX gave me a small taste of past titles, and while DQI-III are available on switch with no problem, I'm having trouble finding IV-VI. I found a cheap copy of VII for the 3DS available, should I snatch it up? Is it a game worth playing? [link] [comments]
The Hero's Name and its Meaning Posted: 02 Jan 2021 07:11 AM PST So. . . Depending on Which version you're playing; The Legendary Hero's name is either Loto, Roto, or Erdrick; and I'm Curious to find out what those names mean; Especially The Legendary Hero's Japanese Name Loto/Roto; and what Loto/Roto means in Japanese. . . Posted: 02 Jan 2021 12:48 AM PST I'm wanting to play and own all Dragon Quest games, but I can't find DQX. Is it only Japanese? Only Online? Anyone have info about it and how I can get it and play it? Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jan 2021 01:19 AM PST I know that we can carry swords in any class after unlocking omnivocational swordmaster skill and I know that unlocked abilities like Dragon Slash, Giga Slash, etc. can be used. But do the skills like "Attack+20 with sword" and "Critical Hit Rate with sword" stay when using a sword after changing class? I noticed that i dont get critical hits anymore when using sword as a Paladin. [link] [comments] |
