    I grew up playing Dragon Warrior 1-4 on Nes. The DS remake of 4 is beautiful! The music, the battle sprites and the silly accents. I'm in love.

    [DQ XI] tried the incorrect quote generator with these three and it was just too good not to post. Sylv even plays the trumpet in the game so him having a saxophone isn't that out of place

    Been playing DQXI Definitive Edition and going through the Tickington segment right after you get the twins kind of makes me want to stop and go through the earlier games first.

    I've played like 30 hrs, but I feel like I kind of really want to play the earlier games right now. For the record I beat the first two games on kindle last year, I think? or maybe it was 2019. I actually just went ahead and bought 3 on switch. Anyway, I want people to either back me up on this or call me a fool for wasting 30 hrs (though I don't think they are a waste tbh.). For the record I really enjoyed 1 and 2 and also have been loving XI. But I don't feel like I have to play XI right now.

    Do you think Sylvando is the most selfless character?

    Sylvando is an interesting character to me, because he's really the only one that isn't connected to the hero in anyway. Everyone else has some familial, destiny or upbringing reason to follow the Hero. But Sylvando is the only one who goes on the adventure by his own choosing. He also lets you use his ship.

    I guess that's what makes him intriguing at first, because you assume there's got to be a catch or ulterior motive for someone being that selfless. But nope he just wants to help. Of course your adventure is a secondary goal to his goal of performing to make the world happy... but he still wasn't brought up from a child to believe he was going to help the Luminary... or visited by mysterious Seers to compel him to action.

    Act 2 spoilers:

    And of course there's Veronica's sacrifcce, but that's still what she was brought up to do. And Hendrik seems destined to follow the Hero, and he'd probably do it anyways... but he is commanded by his King to join your quest.

    I just thought that was interesting about Sylvando, he is just a remarkable guy with no special destiny. Anyone else think the same?

    I think I’ve spent all of my 2021 luck. In just two weeks I’ve somehow found all 6 of these separately by thrift and pawn store hopping for around $120 total. My collection is growing stronger!

    I went to the 100 token slots on my first visit ro puerto valor casino in act 2

    Immediately struck metal mode, managed to accure 44 free spins over the course of it and then we'll over 100 total silver spins by hitting those again. Best I got was 5 BARs for a 180k payout at one point

    Turned 11,00 into 970,000. Holy shit I'm at a loss for words.

    In the DQX trial, you can have up to three different character slots if you wanted to try out multiple races!

    DQ11, the quest to get the jackpot is ridiculous. I live the series and game, but i've been trying for two days to hit the jackpot but it's just putting me off playing! The bunny girl is saying the jackpot will be won soon and i'm betting on all numbers but still no jackpot :(

    Feel like I’m hitting a wall in DQVII

    I'm 26 hours in or so and just finished up El Ciclo. I was initially quite invested in this game's many little vignettes, but I haven't found the last several to be particularly interesting, and the long anticipated class system isn't grabbing me like IX's did.

    I'm wondering if the game's second half is an improvement story or gameplay wise, or if it's more or less more of the same. I'm considering calling it quits and moving onto VIII, but I'd like to finish this one if I feel like it's worth it.

    Here is my fight against the TimeWyrm. I believe this was attempt #10. I just made sure to have at least +2 armor and weapons on everyone, having plenty of elfin elixers, at least 3 pep pops to use Yggdragon's Blessing once per phase and at least 1 yggdrasil leaf / dew per character... I beat him.
