    So 3 weeks ago i recently discovered these Metallic Monster figures for my favorite game franchise of all time. And now im hooked! Got a bunch from amiami sent to the Usa. Didnt realize the big ones came in boxes. The boxes are gorgeous too!

    I really want to replay DQ VIII and try some of the other ones that I haven't had a chance to yet, but I don't really want/need a 3DS besides these games. I think they might have released a few on one of the Nintendo Wii U/Switch e-shops, but again, not everyone has those, especially with the outage and price gouging on the Switch right now.

    The least they could do is put VIII on the PSN store, since, ya know, it was a PS2 game originally.

    Anyone else feel this way?

    What an amazing ride, guys.

    Dragon Quest V is such a game. The way it subverts some topics of the genre is just amazing. I know I'm not bringing much new to the table, but let me say that I find really nice how, for example, the main character is just the son of a special person (his mother), the husband of another special person (zenithian) and, of course, the father of another special person (legendary hero). What I mean is that he is the main character, he is our protagonist, but he's not the one predestined to save the world, just your average adventurer.

    About the movie, well. Watching it the same day that I finished the game made me have my feels all over the place. I'm not used to cry during movies, in fact it have just happened to me once or twice in 25+ years, but woah. Cried three times today, even my head hurts. I think they did an amazing work adapting a 30+ hours videogame into a 1h40m movie. But let me talk about the ending. I knew there was a lot of controversy with this one, but didn't expect at all what happened. At first, I was like "wtf?", not gonna lie, but when "My Road, My Journey" started playing... man. Man, if that's not some of the best songs ever written. The way it touches your heart is hard to describe, and the way they represented everyone who, like me, grew with Dragon Quest... Almost tearing up remembering it.

    DQ8 spoilers, read the body if you don't care or have beaten the final boss

    I need some help with Rapthrorne. Im in phase 1 (im assuming there are multiple phases cause JRPG final boss), and this guy is ridiculous. No matter how much o acceleratle, he always goes first, every time he does a basic attack it crits and kills a teammate, im constantly missing my attacks. Any advice?? My party is Eight level 38, Red level 39, Morrie level 40 and Angelo level 38

    Any Way to Get DQ 1,2,3 on PS4 and play in English?

    Is there any known way to download the Japanes version (or any other version) on a Japanese account, then play on your NA account on the same PS4? Or is there a way to get ahold of these titles some other way? I want the trophies for these as they are my favorite games, but I can't read Japanese. I'm familiar enough with part 1 that I could probably get through it well enough, but the other two are a bit more complex.

    Please help. Hopefully you Reddit guys can figure out a way.

    Help with 8th party member and forbearance in post game (DQXI)

    A lot of people say that immense defense + forbearance is completely op, but whenever I use it, the boss uses a spell and the final party member takes like 800 damage and dies in one hit. Should I be doing something else? It would be great to hear some tips.

    Does the 100 monster door need 100 monsters in the farm, or 100 species tamed? And if the latter, do I need to actually have one of each in the farm (as opposed to having had in the past)

    After Act 2 enemies become vicious version in the overworld replacing certain enemies. I went back the first area and I can't find the enemies who once roamed the area.

    So are enemies missable? I want to fill out the enemy compendium.

    I couldn't find much information about DQ on iPad(not iPhone). I'm wanting to play DQV again, specifically. Are they fixed in vertical mode? Do they have gamepad support? Any other quirks?
