    Finally beat Dragon Quest II! This is apparently considered the hardest game in the series, so I guess it's smooth sailing from here!

    Hello I am very new to dragon quest. I have seen some gameplay and main hero in smash and I would love to get into the game. I bought one of those 200 in 1 game shit you see but the guy who made it actually had good games on it. It has Pokémon black white mario games etc. I was looking through it and I found 3 dragon quest games in it chapters IV V and VI. My question is do I need to play the games in chronological order (starting from one) or can you start with any. If you can start with any which game would you think (IV V it VI). If you are still seeing this thx for reading my question :)

    DQXI - Difficulty spike after getting all characters

    So just left for the open seas on the boat, and I have to sail around to the other side of the map. But noticed the sea battles are quite tough. I try to escape but it takes a few attempts, and my party barely make it out after a few turns of trying to flee. So I try using the water to stop random easy encounters, but this means the giant squids keep attacking, which are harder and take longer to flee or fight. Only managed to make it half way around are most of my team are dead.

    I've set up camp and made the best pieces of armor and weapons for everyone, and i'm around 24 which matched the 2 new characters which joined so i'm in the right level for here.

    Any tips on how to proceed?

    Is Whack a really good spell in Dragon Quest VIII or am I just lucky?

    So I was grinding before going to the Baccarat region and there was a monster blocking the way to get there, and it was way strong (I was at level 22 with my party btw on the PS2 version) so I took the gamble with Whack since my party was nearly wiped out. It actually worked. The same thing happened when I was fighting a King Slime, and then it happened again when I was fighting some other monster on the way to Baccarat (I forget the name but it's one of those monsters that appear on the field and chase you). So am I just lucky or is Whack good?

    Dragon Quest 3 Remake? Take this with a grain of salt since its "Instant Gaming" just find it odd that it's there. Why remake 3 and not the other two before it since it's a trilogy?

    I honestly wish I had spent more time here than at the other ones. I feel like I am having incredible luck. I'm up 50k tokens in this one run of goolyseeus which I love playing anyway so it's a win win. I'm going to see if I can sit at this machine and hit 100k to buy out the whole shop! Time to settle in

    Hard Heart not working? DQIII SNES

    I got an accessory called hard heart and it says it will make my character's attack go up by 10, but when I equip it it does nothing.

    I have the DQ8 app on iOS and suddenly my 44k casino tokens have vanished. Some new buttons have appeared on the intro screen so I assume there has been an upgrade. Anyone have any insight into this? Similar experience?

    Dragon Quest XI 3DS translation

    Is dragon quest XI linked to previous games in the series?

    I am considering buying dragon quest XI on the switch, but as I am new to the series I am wondering if the game has any prior connections/references earlier games in the series. I have also seen that the Erdick trilogy of games is available for cheap on the Nintendo e-shop, so should I start with those or XI? Thank you.

    Wheel of Harma 4th trial

    Idk if it's just my god awful luck, but i swear the 4th trial does not want me to do it in 20 actions or less, everything that can stop me from doing so will happen: whack hitting, moves missing, confusion, sleep, you name it, this trial is just determined to not let me win. Did anyone else struggle this badly??
