The mobile ports are vastly underrated. Posted: 04 Jun 2021 04:09 AM PDT It seems to be a common theme to bash the mobile ports. A lot of the time just for daring to have touch controls. The mobile ports are highly underrated. 1-3 at least I felt we're almost made for a phone. I understand many of you grew up without touch screen phones or even just don't prefer them but you need to recognize your personal biases. Are they as better? No, there's no physical feedback. Are they terrible controls? Absolutely not. The phone ports of 1 and 2 are the reason I and a few of my friends are even into DQ. If I couldn't offer DQ1 for $1 on their phone they would never have touched it. As a community I feel we need to support these ports more if someone shows interest in them. Telling someone new to the franchise they should forgoe a download from their phones to track down a SNES copy of DQ3 is just not realistic. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Jun 2021 04:52 AM PDT When the time travel part of the story starts, does it reset the progress made in part 2? Or does part 2 experience and items eventually meet up in part 3? I don't want to farm a lot in part 2 and then it gets reset in part 3. Thanks [link] [comments]

Can’t craft sword of light in act 3 Posted: 04 Jun 2021 09:08 AM PDT I'm doing act 3 and I'm trying to craft the regular sword of light so I can get the ultimate sword of light, I got both the hammer, key and orichalcum, but when I try to forge it it says I don't have the equipment I need, am I missing something? Is this a glitch? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2021 04:03 AM PDT First day it worked After that it didn't start anymore When I freshly install it it lets me see the Square Enix logo for a second and then crashes, after that it won't even open the game anymore, it just shows me the image with the characters for a second and then acts like the game was never launched I can't find any solution online .... I completely freshly installed everything, all drivers are up to date and underclocking several components didn't change anything I have a R5 2600,16GB (standard ddr4 speed) and a GTX 1080 For some reason everyone is talking about savegames that are located in .../DragonQuest11/saves/.... But mine are in .../DragonQuest11/steam/saves.... Why is my location different? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2021 07:43 AM PDT I just finished a playthrough of 11 using the Draconian Quest "townspeople talk tripe". Although that plus Shypox got pretty annoying when talking to townspeople, especially when it happens back to back, I had a lot of funny encounters as a result. What were some of your favorite tripes told by townspeople/NPCs? Spoiler tags might be needed, but I don't know how to toe that line. I guess you'll know it when you type it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jun 2021 06:41 AM PDT I'm actually at Gondolia and I can't defeat Jasper even after at least 10 times, which is bad for me cause I heard he gets worse at the end of story by being unbound or something. I tried a lot of tacticts but Jasper is just a lot luckier than me when he throws critical hits really often and always gets sure that Serena dies early since she's the healer here (why does it feel like I'm describing a human and not IA lol). Also, idk if I'm under-level, Sylvando is Lv. 15, Hero: Lv 13, Serena: Lv 13 and Veronica: Lv 14 [link] [comments]
I came up with a Dragon Quest monster and I feel I really channeled the pun spirits here. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 12:07 PM PDT It's a living book, with a face on the spine. Spindly little arms and legs. It casts various spells in battle. It's called a Storyfeller. Anyone else got one? [link] [comments]
What should I know before watching the adventures of dai Posted: 03 Jun 2021 06:38 PM PDT Is there anything I should read before I watch the anime that came out last year... or does it not matter and I should just watch it lol [link] [comments]
First time playing 11, are attribute stat growths static in this game? Posted: 03 Jun 2021 11:26 PM PDT When you level up a character, are the stat growths the same every time or is there RNG involved? Let's say I get a +3 on the strength stat when I level up the hero, if I'm not satisfied with the stat gain could I reload a save and reroll for a +4 gain after? I remember in Dragon Quest IV stat gains upon level up were somewhat random like this. I remember in the later levels I was getting +5 or +6 strength gains on Alena and every time I wasn't satisfied with the stat growth upon leveling up I would reload the save to try again. And you could max out a stat to 255 before you even reach level 99 depending on the character's vocation. Would it be wise to wait for characters to reach max level before using any seeds? It's been a long time since I last played a DQ game so I could be remembering it all wrong. [link] [comments] |
