    Can anyone else not stand Disruptive Wave?

    I swear, Disruptive Wave is practically the bane of my existence whenever I play Dragon Quest. No matter which game I play, I always dread any boss carrying it.

    Whenever it's cast, all my buffs are just gone, reduced to atoms. Even special buffs like Yggdragon's Blessing aren't safe from getting snapped away by this abomination. And the absolute worst part is that there's absolutely no way to stop it! There's no preventing it! If the enemy has it, it is inevitable! (I swear, the Thanos references are a coincidence, but they're certainly appropriate considering what we're talking about)

    And I don't care if it's for "game balance" or any other kind of horsehockey; getting all my buffs that I took several turns to painstakingly set up wiped away with no way to stop it from happening is soul-crushing, and will immediately elicit a response of "OH MY GOD, I F$@KING HATE YOU!!!"

    EDIT: Also, yes, I'm aware that it causes the enemy to waste a turn, but that really doesn't mean that much if they get more than one turn. In fact, it's worse if they do, because that extra turn they get is all the time they need to sink their teeth into your now exposed flesh.

    Frustration About A Certain Endgame Scene(Major Spoilers for DQ5 and DQ3)

    I just got to the part where Ortega dies in Zoma's lair, abd I haven't felt so frustrated in a while. I expected to team up on king hydra with him, but instead I just watched him die quickly. That isn't the main part that frustrates me though. The part that makes me angry is how the Hero and his party just watch him lose and don't help. DQ5 handled deaths much better since there was literally nothing you could do about it. When Pankraz died, you were a hostage so you couldn't do anything about it. Then when Mada died Ladja came out of nowhere but again there was nothing you could do. Except here when Ortega dies you're literally watching the fight at least 3 ft away from him, and do nothing.

    Camera Glitch on DQ3 Android

    I'm playing dq3 on a Winovo VTab, and I've had no issues up until now. I'm in the room where you fight the final boss, and after my first death to him, I can't see past the first part of the hallway there. I rebooted the tablet and the glitch is still there. Does anyone know what to do here?

    I finally got around to finishing DQ3 recently and...

    It was pretty good! I got it way back in December 2019, but I just had so much trouble getting into it. I never got far enough to feel like anything was happening, and since all I did was basically grind, it lost my interest pretty quickly. However, I decided to push through that segment of the game, and I ended up enjoying it a lot! I think things got interesting for me once I got the the sleeping village(which just goes to show I never got far originally lol). I had a lot of fun once I started learning about the different mysteries throughout the world of DQ3. Overall, it was a pretty good experience after the early segments of the game and it was cool playing a staple of the genre.

    I went crazy and bought half of the Dragon Quest series.

    I bought 5 because I had the money and I wanted to play it. Then I saw 6 was on sale and I thought "I want to play this eventually and I have the money, so I'll get this now." Then I realized that I only needed 7-9 and I would have all the main numbered entries (I owned 1-4 and 11 before I bought 5) so I decided to get 9 ASAP because it'll probably keep going up in price, and I decided to download the eShop versions of 7 and 8 ASAP because the physical versions are too expensive and I have no idea of knowing when the 3DS eShop will go offline.

    So I downloaded 7 yesterday and I'll be getting 8 as soon as I get the money. And I also got Builders for an early Father's Day present.

    I've beaten 1-4, am about 15 hours into DQV, and I think I am officially a DQ fan now.

    Price on DQ5 for the DS?

    I found the game while moving but have no DS, and can't sell it to a second hand store here in the UK as the game cart is a US game cart and box (even though the DS XL was region free as I was able to play it perfectly fine).

    All the listings I've found on eBay are for the Japanese version which I'd imagine isn't too comparable price wise, so I'm just looking for ball park figures for selling it?

    Box and game are in very good condition, manual is still in the box as well.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Edit: just to clarify, I'm looking for prices of the US version as that's what I have.

    About the Octagonia Casino in Act 2

    I'm here now and have seen around on forums that I should just keep going until I hit max coins. Is there anything I would need/should get later in post game that is only in Casinos? Not counting the Love Potion, should I save for anything down the road? (Cause honestly, if I don't get these coins now, I'm not gonna bother later). I have 11,735 coins atm for reference.

    Times when DQXI felt like it was -meant- to be played with "Stronger Monsters"

    In the early game, when Erik has just joined the Hero and you can explore the Heliodorian Foothills, you can come across a grove full of slumbering Sabrecats.

    When I first played without Draconian Quest, it was no big deal if I woke up an adult Sabrecat and was forced to fight. But with Stronger Monsters active, it felt like I was tipoeing through the "lion's den" so to speak. I'm sure the developer wanted to convey that kind of feeling with this particular area.

    Any other stories of when Stronger Monsters made DQXI more fun or exciting?

    Why the hate with the mobile ports?

    I guess people dislike mobile videogames in general, but the DQ mobile ports are amazing! Not only can you play 7 of the games on the go without any extra piece of equipment, they're very well made and have QOL improvements even compared to the DS versions. Not only that, they're in portrait mode so you can play with just one hand, and to top it off you can save almost anywhere! The graphics look great, the music sounds great, there's nothing remotely bad about them so why are they not given any love compared to their console counterparts? Am I missing something?
