    I originally picked up DQIX when my hype for Dragon Quest was swelling leading up to XI. After checking out the first 10 minutes or so just to make sure the used cartridge worked, I put it down and never picked it up again. I was pretty adamant about waiting until I had someone to experience the game with together.

    And now that I live with another RPG gamer, it's hard to pull the trigger on a second copy with the current prices! XD

    If I could change one thing for the whole dragon quest series it would be to change the spell failed text when a monster is immune to it.

    Hidden 75% resistance is annoying. 10% could be just as annoying, if you get unlucky. Either that or a spell that details a monsters resistances would work too, maybe for a monster tamer class to learn.

    So basically I'm just asking which game is better. This is for the 3DS versions of dragon quest 8 and dragon quest 7. Which game is better than the other, or what are the things that one game does better than the other?

    Dragon Quest 3 - Do Buffs Stack?

    I'm really enjoying DQ3 but I am stumped on this one. Do buffs like Accelerate and Kabuff stack? I want to maximise my crit and defences during boss fights, but if they have a hard cap, I can stop castimg them and get some DPS going too!

    How to beat restless knight (Draconian quest)

    This is easily the hardest boss in the game

    At least with tentacular i got him to half or below most of the time but this boss hasn't even gotten to half once

    Like he does way too much damage, does 3 actions in one turn normally killing or nearly killing someone, also occasionally sleeps or curse stuns someone

    I even have that ring makes sleep harder to be hit by and still can't beat him

    I'm level 38-39 (party level)

    Is there any way I can play Dragon Quest 9 without a DS?

    I have a DSi XL and I have Dragon Quest 9. I would love to play it again, but I put way too much time into it to simply start a new game so I am looking for some alternatives. Any suggestions.

    Starting dragon quest 3 for the first time and I have questions!

    Hey guys, just beat dragon quest 1 and 2 for the first time (loved them both btw) and am moving on to 3 but I have some questions (playing the switch version btw)

    1. I know the personality test determines stat growths for the hero, but does gender as well? Also are there any that are out right debilitating that i should avoid (if the personalities only influence things a miniscule amount then ill probably just run with what I got!)

    2. Is there a specific party set up I should run with? Im pretty sure ill be using a warrior (I love my slow tanky units) and a healer but the third is up in the air for me

    3. Lastly does gender mean anything for the other party members? Like is a female warrior more beneficial then a male one for instance?

    What title should I try to get into the series?

    Considering trying Dq1, 2, or 3 on Switch since they're on sale and iconic, how aged are they in terms of gameplay?

    I know everyone sings the praise of 11, but it it really THAT good considering I dislike Persona 5 combat?

    I'd love to get maybe 8 on 3ds or 4 on ds, but they're super expensive. Are they worth buying digital as a first entry?

    Hey I just started my first DQ game and it's DQ5 on DS. I'm really liking it but I just can't seem to befriend anything. Like I have a few but I'll go hours without getting a new monster. I'd love to get a metal monster but I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if there's a technique I'm missing.
