    I haven't played DQ11 in a while because i couldn't beat hagrimor in the castle after going back in time, now i wanted to play it again and grind a little bit, i watched some guides about xp farming where i need the big whale to get there, but i don't have the flute in my inventory, does the flute disappear after the time reset because i'm sure i already flew on the whale

    Never played Dragon Quest, where do I start?

    I know absolutely nothing about the game, but I really like rpgs and also love the art style so I would really like to give it a shot. I have no idea where to start, should I just start with 1 and go up from there or is there some strange timeline?

    It seems the next most popular one is 8. But I plan on emulating so i can probably get my hands on any of them. Which is the general consenus of the sub i should grab next?

    Are the Switch versions of DQ 1, 2 and 3 worthwhile?

    I've been experimenting with playing RPG's a bit, and figured I'd try out the original three Dragon Quest games, but I'm wondering if I should play the Switch versions, or if I'm better off just downloading an old rom (or a different rerelease for that matter).
    Basically, are the Switch versions ideal, or are there better versions of the first three DQ games?

    DQ11 - Casino Booga Fight[spoiler alert]

    Didn't find tags for spoilers so just added it in the title.

    I'm just having a tough time on normal difficulty facing booga. My characters are variations of 38-39. I have platinum armor. The issue is that after I defeat jade I don't have enough mana. I can't farm xp because strongest npc I can find so far I think gives 1000xp. When I need 37k to level up maybe more. I don't have jade and Eric yet so can't properly farm xp.

    The biggest issue is not having enough mana after jade and ofc the rng. Any tips?

    Currently on vacation, is dq8 mobile good for a dq11 lover ?

    I'm looking for something to do while tanning at the beach and was wondering if dq8 mobile was good for a 20€ price point ? I read some review that told it was only average. For info I looooved dq9 and dq11S. I only have access to my phone right now.

    Scary/Creepy moments in the Dragon Quest series?

    What's the creepiest or scariest moment in the series to you? I remember in DQV the old lady in the Mount Batten Pass freaked me out at first before the fake out where it turned out she was actually nice all along. Wonder if there's any other creepy moments like this.

    DQ11S - Story until Phnom Nonh (First visit)

    So I picked this game up again after an year, to realize i dont know whats happening anymore. The story so far feature doesn't help. I still remember up until Dundrasil, but the part between that and Phnom Nonh is missing from my memory. I would be very obliged if someone could link me a source of the detailed story.

    I was hoping to hear something about a dragon quest anthology during the 35th anniversary Livestream, or even a dragon quest 4,5 & 6 rerelease on more platforms, but I'm holding out for hopefully any mention during E3. Does anyone else have any hopes like this or am I just a loner?

    Why is Dragon Quest IX so loved?

    So, I started playing DQIX a while ago and man... It's by far the worst one I played so far. The job system is so annoying. Having to go back to level 1 everytime you change jobs is so stupid, and to top that, you receive less experience than your higher levels teammates, so it's super hard to catch up to them. There's no point in changing jobs.

    Also, it's so hard to save money here. The money you get from fights is so little...

    And this may be a nitpick, but the graphics do not hold up well. All the characters and armors are very ugly. They did a great job with the other ports on the DS, but this one sucks.

    Still, gonna finish it cause I want to finish all main series DQ games
