I'm falling in love with this game Posted: 20 Aug 2021 08:54 AM PDT Hey guys, I'm currently having to stay at home due to some health issues, and so I've decided to buy myself a switch a while ago. The first game I got was BOTW, and I must say it really is a masterpiece, there is no other way to say it. It's art, without a doubt, and I really appreciate it. DQ11 was the next game I got. And I must say. It hit me differently. I grew up playing Pokemon, and my favourite game was Golden Sun 1 and 2. I was also a huge fan of Dragonball. When I had to decide which game I would get next, and I found out that Akira Toriyama was designing the characters for DQ11, I instantly bought it. It was so worth it. This game is everything I was looking for. When I got into the first fight in classic mode the Golden Sun feels instantly hit me. But beyond the nostalgia, the game is so beautiful. The cities feel alive, and I recently noticed I'm starting to feel a real bond with the characters. I also am starting to really enjoy following the story and seeing where it leads. That's it really! I am a huge RPG lover, Final Fantasy, Vagrant Story, Ni No Kuni, Persona, Xenogears, love them all! So finally started a DQ game. I just got to part 2, and already picked up Hendrik. And Sylvando. However... how long till I get the rest? I found this to be the first time in the game that I was super annoyed, because I want to have my whole party with me, not spend another 10 hours (or even 3 for that matter) getting them all back. I know this is fairly standard practice for MANY rpg's. However the sidestories of picking up each character could get tedious! lol! I just beat DQ1 that game makes no sense Posted: 20 Aug 2021 09:16 AM PDT The game is like leveling up in one spot for 8 hours and than 1 and a half hours of actual gameplay, and the whole world is accessible within the first hour of playing. Metal King Slimes in the Fortress of Fear Posted: 19 Aug 2021 10:03 PM PDT Is there a specific area or floor in the Fortress of Fear where Metal King Slimes are more likely to appear? I just got Critical Claim and want to do some grinding before I take on Mordegon and then do the time travel segment. This is my second game but the first one was three years ago and there's much I'd forgotten! Also, I just made this meme. I hope you guys get a kick out of it. EDIT: I wandered aimlessly through the fortress for an hour or two without encountering a sing King Metal Slime. Finally, I encountered two of them on the outside section of the third level, on the left side of the map. Arbitrary Title about Dragon Quest 9 Posted: 19 Aug 2021 09:45 PM PDT so im using hoimi to farm for gear i want and i saw somewhere that you can farm the legacy bosses specifically without saving in between if you keep track that every legacy boss moves you forward 6 spaces and just keep going. now my question comes when orgodemir poisons me and i want to use mens sana and if that affects the table at all. any feedback is grately appreciated :) submitted by /u/Pvt-capybara [link] [comments]
