    This arrived today. Ive fallen in love with the rocket slime series (slime mori mori) , so i had to get the first one. Gutted the 1st and 3rd stayed in japan. Time to do some translating.

    No Shopping, Shypox & Super Shypox, Stronger Enemies, Reduced experience from weaker monsters. Can't fight Green Dragon at this level, but this.. this was beyond attempting

    So a while back I posted that I was working on a DQMJ2 Calculator for the community to use in the future and planned to release part of it in October. Well life happened and had to take a two month break for family and myself and deleted the previous post about the calculator cause I'm now going back to replanning what I would be able to produce for the community by October.

    Before I had a full big complex plan to have the program to calculate for you and possibly saving monsters for breeding, now I don't think that is the case.

    I think for the most part, for a base release till I learn more to get it to work, I would be able to calculate the child's stats using the parents stats you enter.

    I also may be able to have the calculator subtract the value of weapons' stat boosts but I'm not quite sure cause I have the guide book but it's very vague when it comes to the other stats than damage. Will have to do testing in game but so far my game is still incomplete due to testing out the calculation of base stats and stats with seeds first.

    If anyone has the game and would be able to test the equipment past the current 23 machine part limit I have and let me know if any have a % or stable stat change on different monsters, that would be great.

    I still hope to get a basic version out to everyone if you guys want to try the program once my personal testing and design is done but so far, it's hard being a one man programmer doing this as a final project for a programming/video game school elective.

    If there is any feedback you guys wanna give me from this post or after I release something of the program in October, just let me know. All feedback is welcome unless it's hateful/hurtful feedback. No one wants a sour Bubble Slime in the comments.

    I'm at act 2 and I've finished off Octagonia. I'm headed to Snifleheim and I'm wondering what level I should be for the next few bosses. I'm worried I might be a little under-leveled because it took me a couple try to beat the last boss. No need to worry about spoilers since this isn't my first playthrough but what level would you advise to take on the bosses of Snifleheim, the path to Arboria and Hotto at ?

    Am I the only one who prefers random encounters rather than monsters just freely running around?

    So I really enjoy the concept of monsters existing physically in the game world...in Pokémon. Because it feels natural, since you're searching for Pokémon in order to catch them. In my play through of DQ VII i have yet to finish, I spend large chunks of time just avoiding annoying monsters when I'm going somewhere, it feels like an extra task. Sure, random encounters take up a severe amount of time, but at least I didn't have to contemplate how I'd walk around them. Plus, in some cases the lack of battles where I feel there normally would be actually makes the world feel more empty.

    It's not like the monsters really do anything in the overworld besides look kind of cool. It's not really a Pokémon Snap type experience. I found it just as reasonable to use a few holy waters, and even appreciate the versions that ask if I'd like to use another so I don't have to go into the inventory.

    The whole of it is just a little frustrating, not because I hate it that much, but because it's wide acceptance leads to less games with random encounters, which I prefer.

    Lofty peak and LA Guardia is broken for me

    Hey so I was wondering if any one that's played, dqv: hand of the heavenly bride DS version, ever had the issue where you go to enter a place like lofty peak or LA Guardia and you phase right through the steps up or the building completely lol. So far even resetting isn't fixing the issue :/

    Subscribing to DQX from Japan

    Next DQ Title to Play?

    I own 7 and 8 on 3DS and 5 and 6 for DS but have yet to play them. I have already sunk hundreds of hours into both 9 and 11 and loved it but I am curious what's a good one to play next. I will probably play 3 when the remake comes out.

    Puerto Valor casino Question. DXIS

    I just recruited Rab and Jade to my party in Act 1. I started trying to do the casino cause I read that its rigged in your favor. I dumped about 3k gold into it and sat on the slime slots. I won a lot then proceeded to just lose almost all of it despite the fortune teller saying that I was guarnteed a good fortune. Am I missing something did they change the game between Definitive edition and base edition?
