    And I beat the first boss fight and picked a reward, I picked spend the rest of your life with X and picked Gemma, is it possible to see all the options for this without loading your save back a few times or can I just keep beating bosses until i see them all?

    Looks like I'm ready for a huge adventure. The only JRPG I've finished is Eternal Sonata. Of course I love Akira Toriyama and linear games but I'm not sure yet if this is going to keep my interest, let alone for 150 hours. Hm...

    Question: What is the best tactic to give to Torneko in order to maximize his chances to steal items?

    For those who don't know Torneko is actually a mix of the classic classes of Merchant and Gadabout. When leaft to his own devices (AKA not Following direct orders) Torneko can do as the Gadabouts did in DQIII and, besides attacking, execute 1 out 10 random actions. One of these actions is very valuable, as it is a 100% success rate steal of the item the targeted monster is holding and unlike other titles, there is no limit on how many items Torneko can pilfer.

    Now i was wondering which tactic between Show no mercy, Fight wisely, Watch my back, Don't use magic and Focus on healing is the best tactic to give him in order to push the priorities more towards his Gadabout antics and less on attacking.

    Any ideas?

    I bought this game after completing Dragon Quest 11 thinking it would be just as good, but boy have i been disappointed. It really is a very different game. Dragon Quest 11 seemed like a fun strategic turn based RPG, with quite a fair bit to do and had a fun size forge that was fun aswell.

    This game just seems to be a mundane meet up fight meet up fight meet up fight and defend the generator all the time type game, it feels more like a slasher game disguised as an rpg. Its like the difference between Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 15. Im seriously bored with it now and given up playing it, where as DQ 11 i got into rather quickly and stayed interested in it.

    Likelihood of DQ9 remake?

    On a scale from 1-10, what do you think is the possibility of this happening? Oh And some rs dom opinions

    I played 1-4 as a child on NES, then again on an emulator as an adult. Man they nerfed the hell out of DQ2. DQ3 had a good remake, remake of 4's localization horrible but much prettier and more fun. 5 and 6 were played in emulators. 5 is probably my favorite. 6 was GREAT but although it had all the usual hallmarks of a DQ, it did t feel like DQ at many points

    7 is s piece of dog shit.!

    8 I didn't Like at first. Too much story but it grew on me

    Just finished Dragon Quest III, which one on mobile should I jump to next?

    Hi everybody, I've been slowly chipping away at the DQ games on iOS as a first timer, haven't played any of these games on console or PC or anything. So far I played through 1-3 on iOS and I'm enjoying them.

    The natural option would be to jump to 4 and continue in order, but I have a few things: -While I enjoy these games, I've had to use a walkthrough quite a bit (especially 2 and 3 at parts). For sometimes just figuring out where to go (not for strats or anything, just when I'm not sure where I need to go next in the overworld). -I do plan on playing 11 on switch pretty soon, and I have 9 for DS. My problem is to play them in order, mobile only has 1-6, and then 8. 7 isn't on iOS yet.

    So I was thinking about maybe jumping straight to 8 since that's the most modern one on iOS, so I don't burn myself out on the older NES/SNES titles. I wasn't sure though if I I might be making it harder on myself to then jump back to 4 later.

    Or would people recommend just sticking with the release order, and that they get less walkthrough-heavy if I continue normally.

    Anyways, thanks for any tips or insight! Looking forward to enjoying more!

    Play DQ3 now or wait for the remake and play DQ11 instead?

    I've just finished the first two games because I intended to play the original trilogy before jumping into DQ11, but now I am wondering if waiting for the remake and finishing DQ11 wouldn't be a better idea. Would you say that being familiar with the third entry makes the experience of eleven a lot better?
