so i finally started 7 today and i reached the part where we got our ship and are heading to our first new island. my question is (and y'all can spoil me on this part) does maribel remain insufferable till the end? cause my god i never found a character more annoying than her. do we have a wagon in this game? and if we do, if i bench her would that finally make her shut up? it's making it so hard to enjoy the game ><

Ok, before I state my gear and levels I wanna say I have not been a collector, crafter, or 100% every area and tickington book person on Definitive Edition. However, I just made it to Final Battle of Act Two (Mortegon) and managed to struggle past Phase 1 but died at Phase 2.

I so definitely know I am under leveled since when I started Act 2 I was level 29 when I got a level 31 Hendrik, now I have a range of 43 to 47 due to the small levels I got from just progressing and "fail to first flee and battle out on auto" battles. Hero as you can tell is the 43 and everyone else is higher half of the 43-47 by the last 3 levels of that scale.

In Details of what I currently have on characters:

Drakely (Hero):

Level: 43

Weapon: Liquid Metal Gooreatsword

Helm: Metal Slime Helm

Chest: Liquid Metal Jacket

Accessory 1: Devils Tail

Accessory 2: Supplicant

Skill tree: have all 10 in great sword, Swordmastery to Gigasmash (and that's all leading up to it except the one in the middle of the tree with Swords side of the tree needed), Flame Slash and +3 Atk Power in sword, strength in Luminary just under and to the great sword +15 Atk Power which is to the right of helichopter.

Hendrik:

Level: 45

Weapon: Overlord's Axe

Offhand: Shield of Heliodor

Helm: Iron Helmet

Chest: Hendrik's Armor

Accessory 1: Devils Tail

Accessory 2: Shield-Bearer

Skill tree: all 8 in Axes, shield to the right until +10 Def then swapped to Blockenspiel and moved up to Double Edged Slash.

Sylvando(Sylv):

Level: 45

Weapon: Starburst Sword

Offhand: Dragonsbane +3

Helm: Hermes' Helm

Chest: King's Coat

Accessory 1: Gold Ring +3

Accessory 2: Prayer Ring

Skill tree: I have all but the one showmanship skill under Tap Dance, I have Tap Dance and Sobering Slap, and swords with +6 Atk Power, Metal Slash and the ? Under Sword Stance missing.

Rab (Lord Robert):

Level: 44

Weapon: Cobra Claw

Helm: Crown or Dyndrasil +3

Chest: King's Coat

Accessory 1: Papillon Pendant

Accessory 2: Wristorative

Skill tree: I went up to get Wild Animaul in Claws missing out on +4% Dodge Chance and got +20 Agility instead, I got +2% MP Absorption straight down from Wild Animaul, then went for Rake 'n' Break straight to the left from Propeller Blade.

That's my go to team, let me know if i need to change anything or edit to add the other heroes which have weaker gear. But I am 90% sure it's my heroes Level and gear that needs help.

DW3 Enemy Crowd Control?

Currently playing DW3 on the GBC. I'm in the Pyramid looking for the Magic Key. Up to this point, there have been enemies that cast crowd control where it seems like it'll never fall off. Fog, for instance, never seems to fall off. And then the enemy will just cast Heal on themselves. Mute also never seems to fall off.

Is crowd control really that strong in this game? This isn't my first Dragon First nor my first JRPG, so I know how they should work.

Favorite element?

For me it's the bang line. Very satisfying to hit all foes, and in other DQ games it's considered to be a "light" element which I disagree. Light should have its own spell line "Shing"?

Trying find find some art I saw a while ago

A while ago I saw some art of Erik and Eleven just after jumping off the cliff and ending up in the church in the beginning of the game but now I can't find it, does anyone have a link to it? I think Erik was holding and apple and looking at Eleven but that's all I can really remember.

DWM2: What should I get from the medal man?

My monsters now are Raygigas, Moray, and Protomech.

I want to obviously use one of the medalman monsters to breed... But I don't know any good combos. It would be nice if there was a calculator where I could plug 2 monsters in and see which baby comes out.

Which should I get?
