    So I've been playing dq11 for a long while, but yet I am still not sure which to truly use. Like I can dual wield regular swords to use a great sword, what do you think?

    DQVII - Beginner tips

    Dragon Quest VII on 3DS

    PLEASE NO SPOILERS!!! I just started the game. Town names are OK as long as they don't spoil the plot.

    I'm not a total noob in the DQ series as I've already finished (to a human 100%) DQ4, DQ5, DQ6, and DQ8. So please keep that in mind if you wanna give me some tips.

    What I'd like to know is (numbered so it's easier for you to reply to whatever you want):

    1. is there anything helpful I absolutely should know which wasn't in the other games already?

    2. is there anything, any event where a right choice might give me the upper hand? No spoilers, maybe just the name of the town or sth. If you think it's fine not to know, than I'm good.

    3. are there items (or anything) I might miss and will need a second playthrough to get?

    4. useless classes? Or obvious-choice classes for some character?

    5. are the half-textured walls in some buildings normal?

    6. are there casinos? Which one's better (the first, the second...)? Strategies to bankrupt them?

    7. are dialogue answers gonna make any difference in the story? If it's obvious what I get or don't get, then it's fine not knowing it.

    Leads and follows

    I just beat Dragon Quest V, and I'm watching the ballroom dance at the end.

    All the other dancers have the men being the lead, just standing there, and the women being the follow, spinning around.

    Except for my MC and Debora. She is just standing there, and the MC is spinning around.

    That's just Debora, isn't it? Nera and Bianca let themselves be led by the MC, don't they?

    Just curious if anyone recognizes it? At first I thought it was maybe a British or Australian actor trying an American accent (specifically New Yorker) and not totally succeeding. But then... I met Erik's sister and she has the exact same accent. So now I'm not sure. Canadian maybe?

    How long was Erik in jail?

    He was in the Heliodor dungeons long enough for Derk to:

    • Sell the orb and collect the reward
    • Buy and furnish a house
    • Start a thriving business
    • Meet, date, and marry his wife

    So, how long was Erik down there? 6 months? A year? Longer?

    DQXI story was spoiled in a significant way, is it still worth playing if story is important to you? *(major spoiler in the post)*

    I was reading reviews for Dragon Quest XI (to see if I wanted to play the game), and one of them spoiled for me that Yggdrasil - The World Tree gets destroyed. To be honest, this seems like a huge spoiler and it really peeved me off that it's been spoiled for me. I wasn't looking for spoilers, just looking at reviews. I was close to deciding to play the game, but this spoiler has really called that decision into question.

    I've played Dragon Quest I-IX, and enjoyed them all. But I never had any of them spoiled for me.

    Is the game still worth playing even though the story has been spoiled? Story tends to be quite important to me.

    tl;dr

    Story of DQXI was spoiled in a significant way, is it still worth playing if story is important to you.

    Dragon Quest V on Android

    I bought Dragon Quest V on Android a few weeks ago and was thinking of installing it. Some of the reviews from the store I bought it off say this version of the game is amazing but others have complaints about things like glitches, low sound quality etc.

    Has anyone else played the Android version of Dragon Quest V?

    DQ7 Unbeatable Boss Fight?

    So as we all know, you are meant to lose to Rashers and Stripes the first time you fight them during the Alltrades Abbey scenario.

    People have already tried/discussed beating Strom in his fight, but I haven't seen anything saying what happens if you beat these guys the first time around.

    Has anyone ever seen that happening? Or used cheats to beat these guys?

    I just went to the almighty realm for the first time, I'm supposed to talk the npc next to the tree but somehow they aren't here. What can I do here ? I'm using desmume so I can edit game data but I don't know where to look

    What are your guys favorite/hated moments in dq6 for me my favorite moment as finding the heroes true self, however the worst moment was not realizing that one tower for the swanstone mission was a job grinding spot and my first playthrough i rage quitted for how hard the game was cause didn't understand why i wasn't leveling in jobs

    I feel like I missed a Ton in the first Act, Will I be able to get what I missed later?

    I have just finished the first act and got to the point of getting a 1st/8th party member. however, I have not explored every nook and cranny that the game gave me in the first act as well as not fight every single monster I came across.

    Is there any way to get the Items or battles back without restarting or have I screwed myself over and have to find them on different means (aka within battle, shops, or what not)?

    I don't know if there is anything I will miss out on getting when and if I don't start looking around... Guess that means I have to look out for everything. I honestly feel like there is definitely more to this game than just an Act 2 and based on what others told OPs on other posts, there is more than one way to 100% this game. I just wanna be cautious with the rare finds that I will miss out on. Please Spoil when there is an Item that comes one in a blue moon.

    Any tips or tricks I should know before starting Dragon Quest IX?

    Hello! I recently finished Dragon Quest XI S and wanted to play another game in the series. I remembered playing a bit of IX when I was a kid, but remember very little about it and I'm fairly certain I never beat it. I most likely got stuck on some boss and never went back to it. Anyway, I'm starting the game now and was wondering if there any big tips for hidden items, class building, and all that stuff. Thanks!

    DQXIS Can't select defeated monster list in tickington.

    Please help! Whenever I'm in a world in tickington the defeated monster list is always faded and when I select it, it says 'you can't currently check that'. I have no idea what monsters I need to defeat to fill bestiary. It has never been selectable and I'm deep into my playthrough and tickington for that matter. Could someone shed some light on how to view bestiary in tickington? Is there a condition I'm not meeting? Please help. Thank you!
