- What’s the best way to grind in DQ11 Postgame?
Had a weird conversation recently.. Posted: 14 Oct 2021 07:54 AM PDT I was out with a group a people recently and the topic of gaming/rpg's came up so I took the opportunity to gush about DQ 11, encouraging people to play it, I brought up my favorite aspects including Sylvando as great depiction of a gay character in a game. I said I loved the character so much I "married" him in game, despite being a straight man myself. Well, a gay/trans person was in this group, whom I'd say is a newer friend of mine, and they called me out for "virtue signaling". They didn't understand why I would marry a male gay character and then talk about it "like an achievement". I simply said he was my favorite character in the game. I didn't argue too much with them, partly because they're quite louder than me and I thought maybe this person was used to all kinds of bigotry, perhaps projecting a little, but I wasn't ready to argue them down. Hours later, I was still miffed by this and I second guessed myself. Did I bring Sylvando because a gay person was simply just there? I didn't think so because anytime I reminiscence about DQ 11 I always think of Sylvandos storyline in act 2, how outright happy it made me when I played it. I wasn't showing off in anyway, I legitimately think anyone who's into rpg's should play it. I was thinking of going back to my friend and explaining that further. I'd like to hear some comments especially if there's a person of LGBTQ reading this. [link] [comments]

How Grindy is dq11 compared to dq9? Posted: 14 Oct 2021 07:38 AM PDT I have only played dq9 before and I found it Grindy at the very end (realm of mighty). [link] [comments]
Dragon Quest V on the PS2 or DS? Posted: 13 Oct 2021 09:49 PM PDT I can't decide, I don't really like the DS emulator but I'm not too sure what the differences are. [link] [comments]

Posted: 13 Oct 2021 05:50 PM PDT Probably a very noobish question, but I can't seem to find how to access the (full) world map in DQ 11 - S on my PS4. Square brings up the local map, then X brings up a map menu, but there is no 'World map' option; there are 4 other options 'Maps of nearby areas', 'Local Monsters', 'Nearby Quests' and 'Sparkly Spots'. What am I missing ? [link] [comments]
DQ8 Question: How Can I Take a Picture? Posted: 13 Oct 2021 07:02 PM PDT I am playing DQ8 on my PC using the Retroarch Emulator, and I am using a Keyboard, not a game controller. I am at a point in the game where I am supposed to take a picture, apparently. The walkthrough says to look at the Alexandra statue, press start button, then press A button and it will take a photo. But instead of any of that happening, when I press the Start button it brings up Yangus, thinking I want to talk to him. I looked at the game manual controller info, in Strategywiki, and it says the Start button will let you Confer with party. It says nothing about taking photo's. So I am thoroughly confused. What new minigame do you want in a mainline DQ game? Posted: 13 Oct 2021 11:21 AM PDT So far, mainline DQ games had casino games, crafting (8, 9, 11), board game (3), monster collecting (5, 8), rebuilding towns (7, 11), monster arena (3, 8), beauty contest (6) and horse racing (11). Did I miss anything? What else would you like to see? A strategic turn based war battles ala FFtactics/Suikoden would be nice. Or a card game like from bravely default 2. Or maybe something new. :) [link] [comments]

What’s the best way to grind in DQ11 Postgame? Posted: 13 Oct 2021 02:21 PM PDT I'm playing the post game of Dragon Quest 11 and I won't spoil much but all I can say is that the other characters are back at level 30 while I'm level 54. Is there a way to level up faster when they get back to level 49 or 50? [link] [comments] |
