    Did anyone else use Magic Mirror, Reversing Cycle, Secrets of the Shield and Forbearance to make bosses beat themselves up while being so tanky that they can barely hurt you or was it just me

    Currently watching through The Quest of Dai, and I'm starting to wish I didn't read the manga back in high school.

    I read a fan translation of the manga back in high school (finished around 2009-10) and well, I'm starting to wish that the full series came out around than.

    I am very much enjoying my watch through the series, but I also remember most of the major spoilers. I honestly feel like I would be enjoying the series going in blind.

    I'm currently on E24 btw. Unfortunately I'm watching the series on Hulu, so I'm going to have to fork out the extra dollars for Crunchyroll. snap Oh well...

    :edit: Btw the Dai vs Baran is probably my favorite moment of the series. Well excluding maybe the final battle. Both were pretty good, but I haven't seen the 2nd event. Just read it

    Suggestion for which game to play

    Hello, after getting caught up on the Adventure of dai anime, I beat dq 11. Do any of the dq games have mc's which have personalities and not just you being personified into them. I've already played dq 9 and it's a good game but not what I'm looking for. But I don't want to spoil any of the other dq game plots by looking them up. Any suggestion without spoilers? Or are they all without personalities and user inserted?

    I have the original physical copy of Dragon Quest XI for the PS4 and I wanted to play it on my PS5, I couldn't find any upgrades for the PS5, am i missing something or there is none for the original?

    Hi evryone im kinda new at reddit so its my first post at all but lets go. In my country are selling a japonese Dragon Quest IX for the nintendo DS, at a really low price so here is My doubt. Is this game multilenguaje once i put the cartridge in my 2ds? Cause if not whats the point of playing an jrpg if you can't understand nothin at all?

    When you upgrade gear in DQ8 your appearance remains the same :(

    No matter what new Gear the Hero equips, he still looks the same as level 1. The weapon on his back changes, but nothing else. I wish there was a way to make his new gear show. I mean, he still has that level 1 red bandana on, lol. Is there a way?

    Best version of XI?

    I found one earlier thread, but that thread was made before the PS4 and PC port of the definitive edition came out. I've seen the Switch version of that game has framedrops. Have those been ironed out in the PS4 port of the definitive edition? All versions of the defitive edition has the orchestrated soundtrack, right?

    Battle Setting Are Confusing Me

    I am playing DQ11S and this is my first ever turn-based game.

    I just started it. I was having a good time until the weirdest thing happened.

    The first few slimes I fought I was able to input the commands of what to do. I was able to select fight and attack and defend and all that stuff. Then... out of nowhere every battle I have gotten into the game just plays itself. I'm just sitting there watching my character fight off everything.

    I don't like this. I want to play the game.

    Sorry if this is a completely obvious question... but how in the hell do I fix this?

    Anyone know where I can find the combat formulas for all the games?

    Hey folks. I recently had an idea to simulate a battle between each of the mainline heroes (this definitely didn't come from reading a post on which hero was the strongest and a burning sensation to prove II isn't the weakest xD), and figured I could do it on paper. However, the minute I realized that most of the games have different formulas for attack/evasion/variation etc. I had the idea to use each game's formula for their own respective heroes. I've found I/II (I believe it's the same one?) but have been unsuccessful for any of the others.

    Any help is appreciated, thank you kindly!

    Changed Emulator, now Casino is all losses?

    I was forced to start the game over because it was not running well on Retroarch, so changed to PCSX2, and the game runs way better, but not the casino.

    Was earning thousands of tokens at Pickham Casino. I bought 400 tokens, sat down at the slot machine, and ran it up to 2000 tokens in a few hours. Bought Silver Plates and crafted White Shields. Then I was forced to change Emulators. So I started the game over on the better emulator, and I lose more tokens than win. It's like the Casino fixed the machines making them unprofitable.

    Anyone know why the casino slots would yield completely different long term outcomes between emulators? I'm sad I cannot build up tokens now.

    Can anyone send me a save file of DQ11 PC following the normal ending?

    I recently lost my save file after completing the main quest, just before starting the post-game. Was hoping someone could send me their save file starting in the same spot! I can show you how to do it if you need me to. I really want to start on the postgame content, but I also really don't want to play the whole game over again to get there.
