Question: switch version of dq3 Posted: 25 Oct 2021 08:30 AM PDT I've gotten to Barmosa with 3 others, but have mostly seen players taking on the last Bosses solo. Strategies for both. [link] [comments]
It's so weird how I abandoned for months Posted: 24 Oct 2021 11:29 PM PDT Just after getting to Act 2.. was feeling really burned out and even thinking I just might not be a DQ guy, then I started playing Act 2 and I got the old feeling back, the whole story with the "aquarium" and #8 was really cool and I'm stoked again to play.. OH, now I remember. It was the interlude. Because the end of Act 1 was fire. The interlude almost killed the momentum for me. But yeah, Act 2 is really the shit. Actually, it makes sense because Act 1 is pretty long in it's own right, playing Strong Enemies, so coming back from a break into Act 2 was like coming into a whole new game. I got #8 deep in axes, I feel like Hero and Yangus bro'ing out kicking ass in the beginning of VIII. Oh yeah, I was gonna ask has anyone played this whole game in 2D? How was it? Posted: 25 Oct 2021 11:21 AM PDT Does anyone have a link or the name for the song in the save selection of dq11? I've tried listening to videos of the whole OST but it doesn't seem to be there [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Oct 2021 10:13 AM PDT My current team: Hero-LVL 42 Sage- LVL 38 Martial Artist- LVL 40 Warrior-LVL 41 I've gotten the best gear I can, and grinded the heck out of them, but somehow, Zoma thrashes my ass every time I try, and it's too late to change classes, because that would make me have to grind back an entire 700K EXP, and I'm not willing to go through that hell. Any advice? [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Oct 2021 05:34 AM PDT HI! I am about to finish Act 1 but missing a couple mini medals. Don't think I can currently get one as it is at the castle early on. Tried a couple times but keep getting turned away. May clean up a couple challenges as well. Can I get back to Act 1 areas once I am in Act 2 (or switch between any acts in general)? Be nice to get the 55 medal reward as soon as possible. I am on the Definitive Edition if it matters. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Long shot but does there exist a English script for Dragon Quest 5 DS? Posted: 25 Oct 2021 09:02 AM PDT So DQ5 is the only Dragon Quest I have played (don't worry a few are on my to buy list down the road). But I quite enjoyed and especially the dialogue. In particular the dialogue regarding Debora which is hillarious. Its been years however, so my memory is sketchy. I'd prefer having a script and CTRL-F all relevant stuff to read and laugh at. But I can't seem to find a copy anywhere. Did no one create one? Long shot to ask here I know. If nothing else I would hope somebody would have the dialogue for the party chats or most of Debora's stuff somewhere . [link] [comments]

What’s the general opinion on the Mobile Ports? Posted: 24 Oct 2021 10:55 AM PDT I know that in a general gaming community, most people despise mobile gaming and mobile ports because of the controls, the most prominent example of it being the ports of Sonic on mobile. I am currently playing DQ3 on Mobile and personally, I find it super convenient, and I can navigate through menus and commands really quickly, but I don't know how the rest of the community sees these ports, so I'd like to hear your opinions! Posted: 25 Oct 2021 03:37 AM PDT Ok, maybe I'm dumb. It's probably that. But I literally traveled the entire world map, visited every single town and every dungeon until I was blocked by a door (the ones visible on the maps at least, dont know if there are cities and dungeons hidden in the map), spoke to every single NPC, I'm level 15 but I'm effectively at the exact same point I was at the beginning of the game. Didn't find any of the 3 sacred weapons, didnt save Gwaelin, nothing. I GUESS I'm supposed to find Magic Keys to progress somehow but I cannot find them anywhere, no merchant in ANY city sells them and I just ran out of places to check after defeating the Golem and entering Caitlin Fortress. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't give me the plain solution, just some vague clues and general advices so that I know in what continent the solution is and if it involves an NPC, a chest, a secret path or something. I don't like to be handed the answer, but Im desperate since I've been revisiting every city and dungeon for the past three days. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Oct 2021 06:22 PM PDT I plan on playing the GBC versions of DQ Monsters 1 and 2. I loved the GBC remakes of DQ 1-3 and like that these have the same kind of vibe and graphics. I was wondering how well everyone liked these? Is 1 or 2 better? Are they difficult or about normal DQ level? [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Oct 2021 06:11 PM PDT Does anybody agree that those are the best ports of the first trilogy? I loved them and the added content. I played DQ 1 and 2 on cartridge and emulated DQ3. I heard about the switch remakes. Wonder how they measure up. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Oct 2021 11:51 PM PDT Is it possibe he descended fron the luminary and Gemma from DQ11 I only say them for these reasons... powerful lightning spells/abilities/attacks, long hair like his father's, and blond hair like his mothers, also he meets a priestess possibly the same one his father did, and lastly he is quiet most of the time as his father was. But the hero in Dragon Quest 9 should be an ancestor, or descendent though I thought, so if this is so then would they be brothers/brother and sister?! Help I need the truth. [link] [comments]
What level should I be for the door of departure? Posted: 24 Oct 2021 04:18 PM PDT Right now my whole party is level 10, and I'm playing with none of the draconian settings on. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Oct 2021 06:14 PM PDT I know this has been asked before but I was just wondering what the general opinion is? I am about a quarter through the 3DS remake and am loving it. Was just curious if there were differences in difficulty or which one is considered better. I know there are lots of mixed reviews on DQ7 in general but I am liking it and will definitely finish it. Dragon warrior was the best game in the series Posted: 24 Oct 2021 12:59 PM PDT Yup, I'm calling it warrior not quest as that's what the name was on my nes cartridge. How often is there a turn based rpg with only 1 protagonist? It was difficult to over level unlike modern ones.and while the plot wasn't super deep it was perfect for it's era. [link] [comments] |
