    Anyone feel the same about "Heavens Prayer"?

    Hi, I'm currently playing Dragon Quest 11 on my Switch. And as soon as I arrived at the past 2D / bit-graphic observatory, I stood still and listened to the music and remembered the thoughts I had while hearing this Song back when I first played IX (which was my first DQ).

    And the feelings that it gave me :

    • The despair that out there are Evil Forces, trying to destroy everything.

    • The innocent People, that are crying for help, and truly need you.

    • The responsibility you have to carry as the hero, and as a Celestrian.

    The hope of all folks lies on you. If you fail, the world will end! But you don't need to be afraid... You're not alone, and Celestria is with you.

    Anyone else got so emotional while the "Heavens Prayer" is playing?

    And wondering if anybody has any tips. I'm using the "monsters are super strong & no fleeing" draconian bonus quests.

    I just got my first few skill points and looking to put them into the luminary tree.

    This game looks really gorgeous and I love it so far.

    Just curious what everyone is playing and why. I'm currently playing DQ7 on PS1 and DQ4 on DS. I lost my DQ7 file a while back so I'm slowly catching up to where I was before my file was lost.

    Dragon Quest Heroes 2 except the protagonist has no friends

    tl;dr i'm doing a solo challenge

    Dragon Quest Heroes 2 is a game about taking your party of 4, lead by the anime protagonist, and clobbering extreme amounts of monsters to kingdom come with the power of magic, dual swords, and most importantly friendship. But what if your protagonist was an introvert? What if instead of going into battle with a crowd of people, they dumped all their new acquaintances at the local bar. What if you tried to go through the game without the power of friendship?

    CHALLENGE RULES:

    1) NO PARTY MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED.

    • Party members are characters that you can switch to by pressing L2 and that you automatically switch to when you die.
    • Monster medals, Healix, and guest party members such as Jessica and Angelo from the mission in Mt. Neverest do not count.
    • If I am forced to have party members in my party, and I cannot get rid of them, I have to reset from my last save if I die or accidentally switch to them.

    2) ALL ONLINE FUNCTIONALITIES ARE DISALLOWED.

    • Only exception is the daily bonuses, such as proficiency bonuses or extra EXP.

    I've tried this before and I got to the part after Atlas. I've been doing this run for a bit now, and I've got to the trial of the trinity. I'm running warrior lvl 32 + king axe + witch's orb + slime earrings + adamant pendant + ruby of protection. Proof of my achievements thus far is at the bottom.

    So far I've died to Atlas two times post-phase 2 start. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if I just need to get good at dodging his patterns. Any build recommendations would be appreciated. Will be updating this with proof as I get farther.

    DQ7 (3DS Version) opinion

    I'm about 15 hours and man this game honestly feels like a slog. It's not bad, but the pacing is very slow and characters hardly learn any skills. I know there's a class system but don't know when I'll reach it. Note that I've played 1,2,3,4,8, and 11 and enjoyed them all, but this game feels…different. Don't know if it's just me or anyone else has a similar experience. Gonna give it a couple more hours and see what happens.
