Posted: 05 Nov 2021 02:49 AM PDT Whomever is keeping the DQVC service up. You are awesome! My original copy of 9 with 330 hours had been stolen. So sadly I replaced my copy but realized it was a clean copy. This workaround brightened my night as now I can do the other quests! [link] [comments]
The mobile ports have changed everything for me Posted: 05 Nov 2021 05:44 AM PDT I realize the older I get the less patience I have for the 'authentic experience' of difficulty in old games. This difficulty is heavily mitigated in the phone ports of dragon quest and I've been having an absolute kaboom playing through the games in order. I got suckered into the series with DQ11 like many people and I would have never played through the original experience of the old games and autosaves and quick saves are blessings to me. I'm currently on dragon quest 2 and thinking about skipping over 3 for the far more popular dragon quest 4(/s), any tips or things I should know about these ports? Edit: I'm gonna play 3 guys I was kidding! Haha [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Nov 2021 06:21 AM PDT I just started playing DQ11S on the switch! I ended up to the part where I'm thrown into jail and I have been playing in 2D. I decided let me switch to 3D. My dumb self didn't realize I was going to start all the way from the beginning =( [link] [comments]

Just started DQ3 as my first one a few hours ago and... Posted: 05 Nov 2021 03:16 AM PDT FUCK I hate Spiked Hares. The way they put you to sleep and have that much health early on is so annoying. They're not that difficult to take down but god, they're annoying [link] [comments]
Damage Difference Question DQ 11 Posted: 05 Nov 2021 08:52 AM PDT Hi, Am sure this is probably obvious from somewhere but I'm just scratching my head. I was doing some DPS tests on Hero for 2h vs 1h vs DW. I started with the Crystalotl in the Battleground. 2h sword dance w/ Brilliant Blade was averaging around 1.1k and 1h with Supreme Sword of Light was averaging around 500. Then I went to Dundrasil and fought some Royal Reptiles. Suddenly on those 2h Sword Dance was doing like 900ish and 1h Sword Dance was doing over 1k. Same / Identical gear in both cases. Repeated multiple times and same result and I'm just more curious than anything at this point. Am I hitting some kind of elemental weakness (Supreme does Lightning and Brilliant does Light)? I thought maybe the SSoL was getting some bonus against the reptiles for Dragon's but that's higher than the listed 20% and as I understand it Greatswords get the same. One thing that annoys me about this game is lack of a damage log :). Thanks, Edit: Switch/Definitive Edition [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Nov 2021 11:41 PM PDT with his ultimate technique he would've been able to beat Hadlar and save alot of lives, including his own [link] [comments]
What makes Dragon Quest stories so immersive? Posted: 04 Nov 2021 01:56 PM PDT
Posted: 05 Nov 2021 05:37 AM PDT Does anyone know where I can buy hard copies of the second trilogy of dragon quest games, played all the others except 9, and we'll 10 for obvious reasons. There doesn't seem to be many reliable or trustworthy places to get them from for less then the price of my car 😂 Price isn't too much the issue though honestly, is anyone able to help? Ps. I live in Australia [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Nov 2021 03:17 PM PDT So I have a fighter, a priest, and a sage (formerly mage) is there any benefit to switching the fighter to a thief? If so what level should I do it? My whole party minus the sage (who is level 21) is level 30 and I'm training to fight baramos. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Nov 2021 05:49 PM PDT Hello, I'm a new fan to the series and I'm pretty relieved to say Dragon Quest is the RPG I've been looking for my whole life. Classic turn based combat, enthralling enemy designs, a cast of characters and classes that work just how you expect, and an epic but simple story. The classic swords, monsters, and kingdoms RPG is one I've been hoping to play for a long time. Eleven is my first game of course and I plan on going through the rest as well. My praising aside though my two questions concerining photo mode are as follows. How do I choose what party members are in the photo? Currently I have Sylvando, Veronica, Serena, and Erik. But no matter how I organise them I cant get the ones I want specifically in the photo. I assumed it had to do with line up but this doesnt appear to work. Secondly, does anyone know where the photos I take are stored? I'm playing on PS4 and I dont know if the game wants me to keep track using the screenshot feature of the console itself or stores them in game. Any help is appreciated :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Nov 2021 01:51 PM PDT After Act 1 I really lost interest in playing (even before that). Completely my fault as I found myself missing too many key items (for forging etc) that I started using a walkthrough. Sadly I am only playing based on instructions from the walkthrough and not on my own. I am okay not forging or having the "best" weapons/skills so I don't bother with that too much. I've set tactics to Fight Wisely so I don't even engage in battles of any sort. Well into Act 2 just got back to Nautica. I am not a huge gamer, especially fighting games. Give me the relaxation of Stardew or Lego Harry Potter any day. How do I reignite the spark? As I said it is all my fault. I'm nervous that if I stop the walkthrough and take back control of fights I'll never "win" the game and rage quit from frustration. [link] [comments] |
