How to Electro Light Grind in DQ11. Posted: 30 Oct 2019 06:54 AM PDT I'm by no means an expert, but I do see this question asked often enough on here I thought I would make a detailed walkthrough of how to grind using Electro Light. First, what skills do you need? 1. Hero Should have Pep up 2. Jade needs Lightning Thrust 3. Helps for Serena to have Thunder Thrust 4. Erik with Critical Claim from Guile. 5. Hatchet Man with Hendrick. 6. Any Pep Chance up for Jade and Erik are most helpful. Rab and Sylvando to a lesser extent (they often have more opportunity to pep up waiting on Jade). Second, kill all but one enemy and use Hallelujah This utilizes Jade, Erik and Hero. Just defend until they're pepped. Go ahead and Pep up hero with his ability ASAP, you can use other people on the frontline. When a needed character is pepped, put them in reserve so you don't lose pep. Third, after using Hallelujah we prepare to use Electro Light AND Dirge of Dundrasil. We'll need Hero and Jade pepped again as well as Rab and Sylvando. Hopefully Rab and Sylvando got some time in the front line before Hallelujah so they will Pep quickly. One helpful and easy thing you can do throughout this whole battle is keep up 2 stacks of Accelerate on Jade, Serena, Hendrick, Rab and Erik. Slimes are fast. Side note, for those not sure, status increases like Accelerate do not dissapear or "tick down" when in reserve. Very helpful here with a small amount of planning. When Jade, Sylvando, Rab and your Hero are all pepped, put them on the front line. You MAY want to defend until the next round after switching, not sure if slimes will get to attack first if you don't. Did not test. With these 4 characters on the front line, pepped and Accelerated, we finally use Electro Light. Don't switch anyone yet. For me, Jade always went first and I would use it with her. Optimally it would be Hero or Sylvando I think, but I didnt think to try to effect their Agility through equipment. As long as Rab doesn't go first. If everything was succesful, you can try any attack you want with Hero or Sylvando, IF they go before Rab. On Rabs turn use Dirge of Dundrasil. That will put the metals to sleep, never had it miss more than 1. NOW switch out Rab, Hero and Sylvando for Erik, Hendrick and Serena. DO NOT try to attack with Sylvando or Hero after Rab attacks. You will either wake a metal up and/or waste a round that a character with a crit move could be out. At this point it should be obvious. Erik is your VIP, followed by Jade. Serena and Hendrik may get lucky. This apparently works faster at high levels. I started at 61 and hit 99 in a bit over 2 hours. It feels natural quickly, I used no pep items. You could try making Hero or Sylvando faster than Jade, but do not do anything to Rab. My Rab, don't recall his equipment, always went after Jade but before slimes if he was Double Accelerated. Help a dummy with this electro light levelling thing On DQ XI Switch version, please. Posted: 30 Oct 2019 03:10 AM PDT Hi all, Some users kindly suggested yesterday that I use the above method to level up, as I am level 51-55 after the first trial in the post-game and well, getting my ass handed to me. I have read around a bit, and the guides are like 80% the same with a few differences. And I seem a fair way off the set-up needed to use the method, so I just have a few questions if people could advise?: Firstly, it seems that the sweet spot for gaining levels seems to be above level 70. At my current level I have seen comments range from "still good" to "not worth the effort". Should I be trying to do this at my level? Second, I have to respec all my toons pretty much (lacking the Pep Chance up skills on everyone bar Rab, plus Erik's Critical Claim and Hero Pep up). I assume the pep Chance up are needed to make the "Defend until Pepped up" portion of this method go quicker? Thirdly, one guide mentions a Mystic Accessory (+3 version). I don't seem to have the recipe for something under that name, is it crucial and if so, where can I find the book? Fourthly, a Metorite Brace is mentioned. So same question as above. Fifthly, I have no Pep Pips, just 5 x Pep Pops. And it seems I need a least one Pip for this to work (on Jade?) Reading around, Pips seem to be given out on Crossbow Challenge, which it seems was removed from the Switch version (the guides I am reading all seem over a year old, so for the Playstation version). I am about to embark on rebuilding Cobblestone which seems to give me access to Pep Pops, at a large price, but is there a way to get Pips? Phew! As you can see, I am miles off being ready to try this method, so I just thought I would ask all my questions, hopefully get them all answered, and then see if it's still viable for me to do. Thanks so much for the help! [link] [comments]

There are 4 dragon quest games on the switch: -Dragon Quest -Dragon Quest II -Dragon Quest III -Dragon Quest XI Is there any game of them that represent the series like how Super Mario Bros 3. And The Legend of Zelda: A link between worlds did? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2019 05:47 PM PDT Can I just say I really appreciate that in DQ11 S that we learned a little about Sylv's mom. We knew nothing about her besides what she looked like and that she was dead. When I heard the ringmaster tell that story everything clicked. I had played the PS4 version so I knew about everything with his dad, Don Rodrigo was upset at Sylv's choice not to his footsteps but at the same time when they reunited his dad was happy to see him. Even more than that when he asked about if Sylv made the whole world smile his tone wasn't dismissive or demeaning his goal, reason Sylv wasn't following Papi's footsteps but Mami's. I really like seeing stuff like that seriously I think Sylv had the best substory of the party members, note I just got to Act 3 so if Hendrick, Serena or Veronica get one I haven't experienced it yet. Lowest levels you've beat a 2d boss at? Posted: 30 Oct 2019 09:21 AM PDT I just Zoma with a level 42 Hero and level 20 sage, and level 30 sage, and a level 20 fighter, all multi jobs of course. I got super lucky because my zing worked every time, but the fight took at least 20 minutes because of how low my DPS is. [link] [comments]
On immediate post Act 2 [spoilers] Posted: 30 Oct 2019 09:06 AM PDT Hi all! I just beat act 2 last night and saved in Arboria I believe. Is there a rough guide on where to go and what to do next for postgame? I came across a spreadsheet with a tab titled postgame I believe and it had places and things to do, but not sure if in order. Thanks for any and all help! [link] [comments]

Found a solution to a Dragon Quest 3 Android crashing issue Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:34 AM PDT I recently reached the part of the game where to turn in the six orbs to make Ramia hatch. However, the app kept crashing during the cutscene. The solution I discovered was to open up the app menu during the cutscene (the square button on the bottom of the phone) to switch to other open apps, select another app (like my web browser), then go back to DQ3. I would repeat this process every second or so back and forth umtol I made it past the cutscene that caused the app to crash. I effectively didn't give the app time to crash and I can now continue onward with my journey. Hopefully, if you're encountering the same issues, this technique will work for you. DQ11 Act 3 Checklist (SPOILERS!) Posted: 30 Oct 2019 05:47 AM PDT Hey guys. So I'm really disappointed with Act 3. I want to complete the game but I'm 112 hours in and Act 3 just really feels like I'm drudging through mud. What are some of the essential things I need to complete so I can finish the story? Acts 1 and 2 were lean and awesome and now it seems 3 is just a grind fest with tougher monsters. At this point I'm ready to move on but I want to complete the story. What is essential and what level should I be before I go after the trials and the big bad? Thank you in advance! [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2019 07:47 PM PDT Well guys, I already finished Dragon quest 11, my first of the series, and I have to say, This was really a great great game, I can't believe that, months ago, I wasn't even interested on it, but after I give a try, I fell in love with all the game, and now that's over, I can't help but feel kinda empty, so, what game you recommend me? I'm interested in Dq 8 though [link] [comments]
