    Just made it to Heliodor and I notice I could’ve grinder a bit before getting here. However I would like to gather more characters before dm grinding. Do you guys recommend when exactly or where should I start my GRINDING.

    DQXI Difficulty

    Hi!
    I'm like 30+ hours into my first DQXI playthrough and I didn't set " All enemies are super strong " and am massively regretting it. It's such a shame that you're able to turn draconian quests off but not on :(

    Don't get me wrong, I'm loving my playthrough, but I would even more so love it if there was any small facet of difficulty. I'm considering just pushing through with the main story until the end and then doing a more thorough playthrough with a harder difficulty once I'm finished.

    I assume others have had the same problem - any suggestions to give DQXI that extra little kick?

    Seriously? The thing is profusely bleeding after having it's butt handed to me and just dropped an even more powerful weapon into my hands and it has the nerve to THREATEN ME? What part of it's life threatening injury that caused it to run away in fear would make this jerk think that's a good idea?

    Oh what, you have some sleep resistance now. Biiiig whoop. I just showed up in YOUR lair with none of your mooks even giving me a sniff of trouble and then handed you your leg back as you limped away on the brink of DEATH.

    And this chump thinks they're gonna challenge me?!? Is that what they think?!? Well they're not thinking that anymore because I have the purple orb and they don't have a pulse.

    Side note: I freakin love the metal slime encounter rate over by the pirate hideout. Gives me the warm fuzzies to level up so quick.

    Help me pick a Dragon Quest to play first based on my preferences

    Tim Rogers has sold me on DQ XI, but I'll be getting it on the switch (unless you guys have reasons for me to reconsider) which I don't currently own and plan on getting soon(ish). I am not proud to admit that although I love turn based JRPGs, I had not dabbled much into DQ or Final Fantasy. I only recently played FF 1 through 10 and the games were better than I had made them out to be, although still not as good as others say. But this made me realise that my foolish assumptions have led me to overlook some great games. I have always been entrigued by Dragon Quest, but never picked up the games for some reason. What game would be up my alley/ be a good introduction to the franchise for me; given that I don't mind grinding in the slighest, but will always attempt to beat games with the most underpowered party that I can, as I find it extremely rewarding and fun. I love complicated battle mechanics that encourage experimentation in play. The make/break of games for me besides the music is almost always whether or not the game has strong characters and rich environments/lore, but I like to think that if the game has some thing or the other going for it I can see it through and enjoy myself. If it isn't obvious enough already, my favourite franchise is shin megami Tensei and I am starved for JRPGs at the moment. What games do you feel I should give a go first? I'm going to play all of them anyway, but I would love it if my first experiences could be the best possible.

    Dq11 what level should my party be before taking on the final boss in act 3?

    My party is around lv 72-68 currently. I tried to fight Calasmos but it did around 300 damage before I was able to take any actions
