Serena one of the best Dragon Quest characters ever. Posted: 29 Nov 2019 06:57 PM PST She starts off as a happy optimistic healer. She enjoys the harp She later learns more and more and loves her time with everyone she meets. She also helps many people. Next she learns everything isn't a bed of roses and gets separated from her friends but finally after hard work rejoins them. After all of that when she thinks everything is perfect again, she learns her sister has died to save her. Afterwards she cuts her hair and cries for Veronica and learns all of her powers. After saving the world everything ends well The end. (I took the part about time traveling away because I HATE that part of the game and really felt wrong playing post game.) [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:59 PM PST So I finally finished playing Dragon Quest VII and VIII on my 3DS and now I'm ready to play Dragon Quest XI. Anyways I live in Canada and DQ XI on the Switch costs about $79.99 while the PS4 version is on sale for $19.99 My question is the Switch version worth full price or should I go for the PS4 version instead? Is the extra content in the Switch version justified for the full price or is it not worth it and I'm better off getting the game cheaper for the PS4? [link] [comments]
Any Way To Replay As Other Party Members? Posted: 30 Nov 2019 06:56 AM PST So I'm reaching towards the end of Act 2, and was wondering about whether there is any way of replaying as the other party members during their side stories at the start of Act 2? I know you can always reload to before and do it that way, I just wanted to ask to those who've completely finished the game whether there's any point in postgame trials or dungeons where you can control the other characters again, or whether the start or Act 2 is just it? Also would be cool if could replay their segments with all their costumes unlocked and stuff. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Nov 2019 06:50 AM PST Do the coins carry over to the next casino right? I have enough money to buy all the stuff I want, but I dunno if it s worth making more coins at the first casino. [link] [comments]
Dragon Quest iii about Party and Stats Posted: 30 Nov 2019 03:04 AM PST I'm not too familiar with Dragon Quest series, only played DQ I on my phone and DQ XII on my pc about 6-8 hours. I decided to play snes version of DQ III on my phone and started to game. I actually want to play it without a guide to explore the game on my own. My party is around 4 lvls and setup is Fighter-Thief-Cleric. I put all stats to agility when creating them because I saw it on a youtube channel, is this okay? Do i struggle a lot with this setup? Should i change the party? Can you give me some tips so I can play the game without a guide? Thanks! Edit: Can you recommend me a stat distribution for each class please? [link] [comments]
Which is the best Dragon Quest game you have ever played? Posted: 30 Nov 2019 06:17 AM PST My favorite is either V or XI. I hated VIII. I would like to know what is your favorite so I can choose my next one. Also if you could tell me your favorite character that wold be good too. [link] [comments]

[DQ8] One last thing: What’s the best equipment for the final boss and how do I get it’s materials? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 11:38 PM PST Yea I beat everything from the merman to the dreaded ruin but I've kinda hit a brick wall. To make a long story short my gear is crap and I need some better gear. What's the best equipment I can obtain and where can I get it materials. I already have the Liquid Metal Sword but other then that.... [link] [comments]
Any tips for Dragon Quest VIII?' Posted: 30 Nov 2019 02:12 AM PST So i've been playing DQVIII on 3DS and I made it to the Mole boss. The fight is kinda hard and i've died 3 times to him, and the path to the boss is kinda tedious, anyways I consulted a guide and i'm underleveled by 3 or so levels, but my motivation to keep on grinding has been diminished the more I play the game. Are there any easy places to farm EXP? Any tips y'all have? Because it seems that the only way I'll advance is if I just sit my ass down and grind, and as much as I've liked the game and characters so far, my gaming time isn't that much, but I do want to keep going forwards with this one. Posted: 29 Nov 2019 02:58 PM PST I've just beaten calasmos, completed everything before doing the last fight. I have so many things to say about the game, so many question about the ending (I've not played the first trilogy), so many feelings to share with you: these are things for another post, now it's time to cry. (Act 3) What level should I be? (Mild spoilers) Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:36 PM PST I've gotten to the first of three trials at around level 58-59 on Stronger Monsters but I'm pretty frequently getting bodied (Can't beat the boss at the end of the first trial in 25 turns, some of the cobblestone stuff is wiping the floor with me). Am I underleveled or do I just gotta keep pressing on with better strategies? [link] [comments]
Dragonquest 9 - What's the pattern to Yggdrasil Leaves spawning on Pluvi Isle? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 04:57 PM PST I'm at the endgame against Corvus and I'm getting wrecked over and over. Gonna grind for a few levels. Also I've been wanting to grab extra Yggdrasl leaves but when I've gone to the Isle nothing's been there. Do they only spawn at a certain time of day? Also, once I pick one, how long before I can get another one? [link] [comments]
Dragon Quest Trilogy physical copy Posted: 29 Nov 2019 02:11 PM PST Hi all. I'm looking to complete my DQ collection and saw in Asian territories they released 1-3 for the switch physically. I'm from the UK and I'm tempted to import. I wanted to ask if anyone else has done this and if so is the box art in English? I've seen conflicting images on eBay so I'm a little worried what to purchase. Thanks [link] [comments]
Just finished my first DQ, DQ1 Posted: 29 Nov 2019 02:07 PM PST It was fun and very smooth, the language did sound very funny(pritheee tee he he he my beloved princess), I definitely liked it. Now I have two questions: 1) The cursed belt at the end of the game, what was its purpose? 2) Should I just continue with DQ2? [link] [comments]
[Spoilers] I'm not really a big fan of the postgame in DQ11 Posted: 29 Nov 2019 04:55 PM PST I'm right around the part where you need to go through the challenges and kill the skeleton guy with the shadow clone in 25 turns. If it gets better later on, let me know. This is also my first DQ game. I think the best parts of this game were when they developed the party charecters and the worst parts were the main quest side stories (like the mermaid thing) Yggdrasil's fall really made the game super interesting to me. The game got super dark and each of the charecter missions were great. Rab's meditation, Jade's mind control, and Serena dealing with Veronica's death highened the charecters and made them way more interesting. So now we time travel back to before the second half of the game. All the character development is gone (especially for Serena and Hedrick) and all the cool new powers feel undeserved (Re-Vamp and Pearly Gates) because the charecters never earned them. Not only that, but the game completely focuses on Serinica and Erdwin, two charecters who I'm sure I would care about if I played a different DQ game, but they mean nothing to me. Also all the progress I did to help the world is reversed (Sylvandos Parade, Mia's Imprisonment, Irdwin, the monster in Hotto) and I think I have to do all that stuff again? The worst part was when I lost to the skeleton, I was told to go train (grind) untill I could beat him. So I went to a forest, switch my part to Hero, Jade, and Sylvando, and tried to get their pep powers. I realized that these incredible charecters who I had seen grow and develop since the start of the game were now tools that I could use to stop Serenicas problem. In the past, their abilities came from their experience, but now they all have no charecter and all the experience. I'm sure it's great if you love the older DQ games, but I think I'm done with this game [link] [comments] |
