I wish you could carry over costumes in a new DQ11 save. Posted: 16 Mar 2020 05:01 AM PDT Some of these costumes are only available way too late into the game It's a shame. [link] [comments]

I just beat Dragon Quest 2 for the first time. Posted: 16 Mar 2020 10:02 AM PDT And I have to say, I really enjoyed it! It had an excessive amount of grinding but I didn't max out my characters and still beat it just fine. I like how it's pretty hard all the way throughout and how each character has their strengths and weaknesses and that status ailments are actually usefull. Pick it up if you want to play an old-school, difficult RPG. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Mar 2020 09:20 AM PDT Performance wise the PS4 & PC versions of DQXI are just straight up better. I've never been one to care for graphics but it really is a noticeable difference, frame rate too. But the Switch version has so so SO many QoL changes and a whole 'nother games worth of content. When are we ever gonna get to experience the best of both worlds together? I hope the answer isnt never. [link] [comments]

Dragon Quest-ing through history Posted: 16 Mar 2020 09:29 AM PDT Way back when I was tiny lad, my brother and I had three games to play: Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, and Dragon Warrior. I loved Dragon Warrior, and it instilled in me a love for RPGs that is still strong today. However, I did not do the best in keeping up with Dragon Quest itself. I have played 1, 8, and 11. How does everyone recommend going through the series? I nabbed 2 on the Switch before I saw that it is generally not as well loved as most of the series. I've got a Switch, PS4, smart phone, and DS in my arsenal for this endeavor. What does everyone recommend? I like to think I'll play them all, but let's be honest, I don't have that kind of time, and FF7 Remake is just around the corner. If I can only play one other DQ - what do you recommend? EDIT: I guess buying DQXI S is also an option, but I'm thinking I'd rather see what else the series has to offer. [link] [comments]
[Spoiler] [DQXIS] On a blind 2D mode all-Draconian playthrough. Just got to... Posted: 16 Mar 2020 04:17 AM PDT The Rab boss fight in Act II. Uh ... excuse me? Don't tell me how to beat it. I want to figure it out. But ... excuse me??? [link] [comments]
[DQ11] My thoughts on a particular boss... Posted: 16 Mar 2020 08:29 AM PDT I'm playing blind through first time, so no spoilers please! Just got the underwater harp thingy, and obviously, went everywhere i could BUT the main story. Ran into a certain oscar wilde inspired boss.... That charming RNG bitch ( a.k.a, Dora in grey ) hits so hard on the tougher settings mode. I managed it hero, sylv, serena, and rab. just slamming down cutting edge as much as i can, with any oomph's i get a chance to cast. eventually RNG gods allowed me to win after 7-8 tries. level 27-28... I'm so glad that it's over lmao [link] [comments]
End of act 1 -what not to miss and the side stories Posted: 16 Mar 2020 10:57 AM PDT Assume I'm getting close to the end of act 1, in the arborian highlands heading towards everyone's favourite tree. I know that any quests I miss I can eventually do later (planning on doing them now) and I've put the items in inventory to duplicate later (I'm assuming they won't need to stay there and I can use seeds/ put other items back in as needed) Im playing on pc so I know I don't have access to the side stories, and as such plan on watching them on YouTube, but the question is whether to watch them before or after reuniting with their respective person, what would people advise as I've heard people saying that it's better with and better without them! And is there anything else I should do now that I won't be able to do again for a while! [link] [comments]

Posted: 16 Mar 2020 06:00 AM PDT Has anybody done a play through in 2D mode? Nearly done with the game and was considering doing another run through in 2D however, on the parts where you do jobs in Tickington, I find the random battles SOOOOO slow and SOOOOO boring. Just wondering if there's any cool sites or quests which really stand out differently and work better in 2D mode before I get going? [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Mar 2020 09:37 AM PDT Does anyone have a list of all the exact locations of every Tockle? It's a real bear-sent-to-fight-in-the-MA-tournament to find the little ghosty blighters. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Mar 2020 08:39 AM PDT I havent played DQ 4 ( mobile) for over a month and was at this point about populating a town. So I looked up a lets play on how to do that and im a bit lost as how to trigger this picking ambassador thing since the only thing hoffman says is that hes not going anywhere. Posted: 16 Mar 2020 05:58 AM PDT I made this app many years ago and it turns out I still had the source code. It's a simple program to help you win at Lucky Panel. It's based on the original PSX version, but it can be used with varying degrees of success with the 3DS version as well. I may get around to updating it one day, but I thought I would make it available along with the source code for people to use. You can find it and the source code on github EDIT: It's written in Java, so you'll need at least a 1.8 runtime environment installed. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Mar 2020 05:54 AM PDT So I equipped one of my characters with the Liquid Metal Gooreatsword but it's still only dealing 1 damage on Metal slimes. Is this normal or am I missing something? Hmmm [link] [comments]
(DQ11) Does the "difficult enemies" draconian option also make rare spawns (metal slimes) more rare? Posted: 16 Mar 2020 05:13 AM PDT I avoided combat for too long and needed to level up a little bit around the Gallopolis area. I keep reading that metal slimes are somewhat common in that area, but after an hour I have yet to encounter a single one. By this time I'm already done leveling, but this does make me wonder whether draconian settings make spawns more rare, whether the information I read on their rarity is false or whether I have an unfathomable amount of bad luck. Anyone have any idea? [link] [comments] |
