Posted: 15 Mar 2020 03:45 AM PDT Been replaying it because I just saw the movie. For once I literally don't care about my picks. Like I plan on going the whole family wise but it doesn't really matter and that's awesome. Picked Bianca and plan on doing whole playthroughs with the others. Already did years ago and I remember Deborah being a beast. Here's to hoping I can find a PS4 cheap to play the newest. [link] [comments]
Minor detail I noticed about Erik (Spoilers) Posted: 14 Mar 2020 10:15 PM PDT Just beat the game, loved it. Something I noticed is that "Erik" spells his name with a k instead of a c (Eric). In real life, I live around a lot of Scandinavian people, who usually spell Erik with a K. Then it all clicked. This makes sense that Erik's name would be spelled like that because he was taken in by Vikings (who are Scandinavian). I dunno if this is just a coincidence or really in-depth intricacy from the localization team but either way I thought it was interesting. [link] [comments]
DQ11 - Anxiety about allocating skill points Posted: 15 Mar 2020 09:56 AM PDT Hi everyone! I've just started the game and I'm loving it so far. Please avoid spoilers in your answers, it's very important for my enjoyment of the game! Been playing with draconian enemies. I've just unlocked the possibility to allocate skill points and I see that skill points are sparse and I have to be careful in how I spend them (favouring minmax instead of balance). There are also many hidden slots (question marks) so it's hard for me to plan ahead... Especially not knowing what other characters can do. Hence my question... At one point, will it be possible to respec the skill points in case I regret my choice? If yes, can it be done relatively easily or maybe there's a limited amount of respecs etc.? Beware I'm not looking for suggestion, I would like you guys to tell me if there's no reason to be anxious about it because later on I can change or maybe because everything is viable anyway. Thank you very much! [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Mar 2020 06:59 AM PDT I beat the time wyrm after 3 attempts (136 turns but it's done). What is there to do now? I don't want to max stats- I farmed about 20 strength/life seeds and can't bring myself to do that again. I'm missing like 3 recipe books but otherwise I'm good on forging. All quests, trials done. Not really sure where to make good use of the hare raising suit except redoing boss fights. I was thinking of just starting another file and hunting goodies first, quests and trials etc last in postgame. Suggestions? [link] [comments]

About to fight Dhoulmagus, but the game has gotten boring... Posted: 15 Mar 2020 10:06 AM PDT I've been playing Dragon Quest VIII for the past two weeks and I'm like 40 hours in, about to fight Dhoulmagus. I really enjoyed the first like 25 hours, but now it feels like it's dragging on too long. Apparently this Dhoulmagus fight is like halfway through the game too? Normal JRPGs would be ending by now. I feel like I've seen everything this game has to offer and I don't really care for the story anymore. I don't want to push through another 40 hours when I have a whole backlog of stuff I need to get to. The game started really strong but it turns into just the same thing over and over, the sense of adventure kinda died out. [link] [comments]
I love everything about dragon quest 11 except for those damned rhyming mermaids Posted: 15 Mar 2020 09:28 AM PDT It makes the beginning of the second act such a slog, when it should be a really interesting segment. It's sooo heavy on exposition to begin with, but I have to have it delivered in rhyming couplets?! Uuuuuugh just talk faster!! [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Mar 2020 09:22 AM PDT So im having a hard time on the last boss because im all out of MP and not high enough level. I want to go back to grind and get some diffrent gear like the power shield and the rings that give you more MP (btw where do you buy those?) but I dont want to have to go throw all the minibosses again. This might not be a problem, I dont know if they stay dead but if they do please tell me [link] [comments]

I Want To Play The best versions of each Dragon Quest 1-10 Posted: 15 Mar 2020 07:55 AM PDT I played Dragon Quest 1 long time ago. Then, I played Dragon Quest XI at a friend's house, What made me want to play All Dragon Quests in order The problem is that I don't know which version to play, and I would like to know which would be your best version PD: Sorry if there is a misspelling, my English is very bad [link] [comments]
I don't know what to do in the final area of DQ 11 S Posted: 15 Mar 2020 07:47 AM PDT I'm at the final area in Dragon quest XI and I have everyone at about lv. 59, but I had serious difficulties to beat Indignus, so I'm trying to reach at least level 65 for everyone, is that enough to beat the final boss? [DQXI] The Mermaid Paradox (endgame spoiler) Posted: 15 Mar 2020 04:57 AM PDT Running around Act III, trying to clean up all the odds and ends... visited the Strand, and... well, what the heck is going on? Lemme just make sure I get this straight, first of all: After Act II, I traveled back in time to a specific point near the end of Act I - the point when I was just about to depart Arboria for the First Forest. Beyond that point, I divert history down a different path, averting the Fall of Yggdrasil and all the tragedy that brought with it - but everything UP to that point is presumably unchanged. Why wouldn't it be? I can ignore the way sidequests remain available and/or completed, and the fact that MOST (but not all) of the chests you opened during Act II remain empty. That's just Gameplay and Story Segregation, as per TVTropes. But why is a mermaid who died during the middle of Act I alive again? Neither she nor Kai the Fisherman seem to even remember meeting me before. Indeed, when I visited Nautica, they ALSO acted like this was my first visit... now, my stay there at the start of Act II would naturally be erased, but not the FIRST visit. Of course, that first visit couldn't and wouldn't have happened without the events surrounding the Strand and Lonalulu. Indeed, if the encounter with Mishelle somehow got erased from the timeline, then everything collapses in a pile of paradox. Without that encounter, I couldn't have obtained the Harp of Lorelei. Without that harp, I couldn't have reached Nautica, or collected the Green Orb from its queen. Perhaps some other route to the Champs Sauvage could eventually have been found, but without the Green Orb I couldn't have activated the pathway to Yggdrasil, and... yeah, it all falls apart. Where's the Doctor when you need him, huh? >_> [link] [comments]

Why are the Dragon Quest DS remakes so expensive? Posted: 14 Mar 2020 09:19 PM PDT I'm currently playing through the switch ports, which I am having an absolute blast on (on DQ III right now), and I want to continue with legit and legal means of playing the rest of the series in their definitive forms, but the DS games are s u p e r expensive and even harder to find, even online. I understand that you can play them on mobile but I'd rather stick to consoles, is there any reason why the DS games are so expensive and could anyone point me somewhere where I would have ease buying them for the DS, or should I wait and pray for a switch port of the Zenithia trilogy?
