Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past Posted: 29 Jun 2020 07:35 AM PDT I beat Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King about a year ago, I thought it was one of the best/most fun games I've ever played. I just discovered I have Dragon Quest VII. Was wondering if VII would still be fun to play, or is it basically like playing an older version of VIII? [link] [comments]
Coming back to the game after a long hiatus. Posted: 29 Jun 2020 07:45 AM PDT After having a really bad period in my life - during which, silver lining, i mainlined the first 65 hours of DQ11 in ~ 3 months (the most i've EVER played a game is BotW for 90 hours since 2017)- i hadn't touched the game in a long time. For reference, i had just gotten to Octogonia in act 2. And i gotta say: it's absolutely fucking stupid how incredible this game is. Like, i know you all know. but especially after taking a long break and coming back - holy shit. I'm not gonna lie, i forgot how incredibly detailed and intricate every part of this game is. I'm playing on switch, and lately i've only been playing shoddy ports and older games, too, so i completely forgot that this is probably the best optimized and most modern feeling game on the whole system. What really got me, though - after talking to every monster and watching those Moosifers fight and just generally enjoying being back with the boys - was HENDRIK'S DIALOGUE WHEN BOOGA MAKES HIM DANCE! Holy shit, the voice acting in this game is so phenomenal! the way he's like "oh my, this is so freeing" - hilarious. i'm so happy i'm back in on this game - I just wanted to point out that, when you take a step back, the absurd amount of detail and polish in it really blows your mind! we got really lucky with this one, try to appreciate the little things that make DQ11 so spectacular :) [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Jun 2020 08:07 PM PDT Here's a sample of the English version. From the research I've been doing it's only avaliable in Malaysia and Tawain. Something interesting though is that on the official website, when asked what your region is, there are two question marks below, could it be possible they are going to release it here in the west? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:42 PM PDT After failing countless times I finally beat the final trial of the wheel of harma with 28 moves. My heart immediately sunk when i saw there was yet another one. Anyone who has beaten this secret trial, can you please lend me a hand/tell me your setup for it? As always, any help is appreciated! [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Jun 2020 10:01 PM PDT I now need too turn to the community as Google failed me... I would like if anyone could find me a picture of the shield of the Head Hunter as I need it for a project that I am working on! And when it will be finish I will make sure to post it here for the enjoyment of all people who like the franchise more than I do. [link] [comments]
Is there any chance of a deeper discount on the Steam version of DQ11 in the summer sale? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 02:16 PM PDT I've been playing the Switch version at a friend's place recently and I'm absolutely in love; this is my first foray into the franchise and I've never played anything like this. Saying that, I'm absolutely broke at the moment and can't afford to buy it for myself, even with the current 50% discount on Steam. Is there any chance of it getting a further discount in the summer sale so that I might be able to pick it up? Thank you! [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 07:39 PM PDT Okay... I'm absolutely befuddled right now. *SPOILERS AHEAD*So I'm doing the quest where I have to forge the hero's sword to defeat Mordegon, right. I get the special ore at the Battlegrounds, Zoom unto Gallopolis and... Erdwin's Lantern is back?I REMEMBER finishing the Erdwin's Lantern quest and seeing the LoS destroy the lantern way back before I revisited Arboria and reunited the hero with all his friends. Why is Erdwin's Lantern back? Continuity seems broken. EDIT: [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 02:04 PM PDT Hi everybody, I love Dragon Quest XIS so much but I am having difficulty with Act 3. I have got to the point where to continue the story I go to dungeons under Zwaardhurst but the game is encouraging me to explore and do other stuff before continuing the story, however, when I go and try and re do things often the bosses are too strong or it asks for items that I have no idea where they are. There are no hints about what I should do as they are pushing me to continue the main story but I want to level up and make things right that I did before in Act 2 but there serms to be no way of knowing what order to do stuff in without hitting a difficulty wall or needing an item i have never heard of! I dont want to have to follow a guide or anything as that ruins the flow but I am finding it frustrating. Am I missing something? [link] [comments]
Are there any online resources for finding people interested in playing DQIX multiplayer? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 12:03 PM PDT I get that in the age of Covid this seems counter-intuitive (particularly for a game that hasn't been conventionally relevant for roughly a decade), and I would take every precaution as I have a one-year-old whom I'd prefer not to have to bring to the ER, but I would love to experience this game closer to how it was intended. I just have no idea how to go about finding people to play with nearby (if there are any at all). [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 12:51 PM PDT Has anybody been able to rip the models from XI? I'd try to do it myself but i don't have the steam version and can't find any on the internet. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 05:45 PM PDT After the overall mediocrity of the Zenithian trilogy, DQVII was such a breath of fresh air and reminded me why I love the series so much. [link] [comments] |
