    The Return of the Ultimate Dracconian Quest XI

    Today, is June 30th of 2020. I'm guessing, its been more than a month since I left.

    After thinking it over for a few days, I've decided that I should keep playing this because I have literally nothing else to do (well, besides playing Min-Min Smash Ultimate, but that's not what this sub is about) and also because, it made me like the game more by showing me the charecters full potential. So, without further ado, I present to you (again) The Ultimate Dracconian Quest.

    Alright, so I go straight to the Dundrasil - City Ruins to fight some Green Dragons because that give a large amount of experience points when slain. So, about 34 Green Dragons slain and 7 metal slimes stabbed to death later, I make my way to Octagonia to rematch Sinderella and Whambalina.

    The fight was over pretty quickly becaus I was at such a high level. And all of the other fights (including the big spider) were also pretty easy. So, I went back to the Dundrasil City Ruins to get the rainbow back from Rab and discover I was adopted.

    So, now that I have these two party members that are underleveled, I fight 20 more green dragons to get them 4 levels higher (Talk about a dragon quest) and talk to Michelle the Mermaid and make my way to Lonalulu.

    And now, after doing all the talking stuff in Lonalulu, I am about to fight the Hentacular.

    My Current Levels are:

    Luminary: 27

    Erik: 27

    Veronica: 28

    Serena: 27

    Sylvando: 28 Rab: 26

    Jade: 26

    TLDR; I'm back. Beat Octagonia. On my way to fight the hentai monster.

    DQ11 Tentacular Strat

    I was struggling a lot at first but I was able to beat it with this strat. If you use the cannon to confuse it, then put it to sleep using any means (I used snooze with Hero) then debuff defense and use Persecutter with Erik and repeat, to keep hp up when it was awake I used Right as rain with Rab. With this i was able to beat it with a lv 17 Hero, lv 16 Erik. and lv 23 Rab and Jade. Hope this helps someone

    DQMJ2 Fanart?

    I was wendering if anyone as played Dragon Quest Monster Joker 2? And if yes do you have idea for fan art? I started plaing the game rescently and I fell back in love with it againe!     I was wondering what monsters (besides metal slimes) give the most exp in act 3? I find it hard to find metal slimes and would prefer to farm other stuff.

    I have some questions in regards to Dragon Quest IX online shop and I need an informed opinion.

    Many months ago I stumbled upon the knowledge that, by connecting to a specific fan server, it was possible to access the entirety of the various DLCs for DQIX, including the exclusive items only sold in the online shop, DQVC, a solution by far much easier than the previous one, editing the save file with a PC dongle. Since the DLC content is required to obtain 100% completion, I used the playthrough of the original owner of my recently bought used cartridge to test if it worked before doing a personal save file. However, when i did it, while it did make all of the special guests in Quester Rest appear, no matter how many times I tried the online shop would always remain out of reach, not even visible for me. I did a little digging on the internet and I learned that, although not common, this is an issue that at least a few people experience. At the time of my research, there were no answers about the source of this issue, nor a solution for it.

    Since then, has a way to fix this problem been found?

    If a solution has not been found, the other options that i see to work around it are:

    A) to buy a second cartridge. This would have its benefits (since in order to full upgrade the Quester Rest Inn you need to comunicate with others) so at some point I will definitely buy another cartridge. However it would really suck to buy another cartridge only to discover that it can't connect to the DQVC, so first I would like to have either a way to fix the problem or at least to know the odds of buying "another dud".

    B) Buy the dongle and edit the save file. I would really prefer NOT to take this course of action, due to various reason, among which are my non existent computer skills, the unknown origin of what you are downloading, and the not impossible threat of erasing the cartridge's content.

    How do you think I should proceed? I am tight on funds and with a huge backlog to on my shoulders, so there is no rush in finding a solution but I see no harm in asking in advance.

    DQXI soundtrack...what gives???

    What's going on here? Look, I REALLY don't like being critical of someone else's creative work, but is there some kind of backstory as to why it's just pretty bad? Why are there SO few songs? I just reached the end of Act 1 (40 hours in) and I swear there are only like 4 songs in this game; city theme, open world theme, battle theme, sad-ish theme. Honestly none of them are very good.

    Here's what's SO jarring. The REST of the game has SO much detail, and CARE just dripping from it; incredible character animations, great city designs, great voice acting, and great cutscenes but it's constantly derailed and undercut by the score.

    No joke, my buddy who isn't even a gamer walked in during a really dramatic scene and pointed out that the music didn't match the mood or dialogue.

    Maybe I'm just spoiled by Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy, but I've never turned down a soundtrack in settings, and I'm honestly thinking of doing that and just turning on some kind of ambient music or another's games score. Now, I hear that there IS an orchestral version out there, which would help cause the midi just isn't great IMO.

    One of the reasons I actually bought the game was because in the trailer the song was amazing and played by the Tokyo Orchestra I believe. Bit of false advertising honestly.

    Overall I REALLY like the game, or I wouldn't even take the time to post. It just feels like a strong soundtrack could've pushed this game into truly top 10 RPG territory.
