    Dragonquest 8 Overworld stuttering/slowdown FIX

    After experiencing this problem myself, I searched for a solution finding various posts with no fixes/solutions given. I realised the 60 fps cap cheat removed the stuttering, but now the game was running way to fast. After abit of searching I found a 30 fps variant that removed all stuttering in the overworld. Took a while to find, so figured I'd make a post about it :) (For CITRA Emulator)

    Cheat Code:

    DD000000 00000300 082A6FDA 001E0000 D2000000 00000000

    After loading the game, press the (L + R) key at the same time.

    Is DQ XI a good entry point into the series? I really want to get into the series but struggled to get into with DQ Vii I think it was

    The same boss fight on the same autosave once wiped out my team in 2 rounds and didn't even kill one person on the next match, despite my level being the same, does RNG make that much difference?

    Why is Sylvando such a delight? (DQ XI)

    Now as a newbie to Dragon Quest and XI being my first venture into the universe, I saw the trailers and saw Sylvando hinted at. I was expecting flamboyant stereotype gay man version 13, as someone with about half of my friend base being LGBTQ I was a rather nervous about his portrayal. Since he has joined my party I cant help but love him! He is such a delight to have and is such a fun sassy character. I can't put my finger on how but he manages to keep all the intense flamboyance without being offensive. This whole game has exceeded my expectations for it's charm and fun energy.

    My costume didn't show in the endgame cutscene after defeating Mordegon but it does everywhere else, is this normal?

    I just learned that getting wiped out during certain optional battles ( Namely: Wheel of Harma and Drustan Trial's boss battles) doesn't actually result in a game over, instead the relevant NPCs tells you you messed up and should try again or get some rest.

    I wish I found that out before finishing an Iron-man challenge, would have saved me a heart attack or two.

    Are there any maps of the Tickington dungeons in DQ XI S?

    Dragon Quest V marriage first time playing... keep wife in party?

    I split my save files right before the marriage.. honestly I'd go with Bianca but her dumb accent/dialect (I'm playing the DS version) is already grating on me. Curious about Deborah, but also would like a mage in the party in Nera except that her kind of passive doting wife thing makes me feel weird.

    If it's just for story development/party chat, I'll go with Bianca probably but have you usually kept the wife in the party? If so I might go for Nera. I've got Saber, a slime knight and a few others rotating in the 3rd spot right now.
