Is there any way to instantly place max tokens in DQ 11 Roulette Board Posted: 15 Jun 2020 04:29 AM PDT Tyring to optimize token gain, I saw it in this video and was wondering how this was possible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upmfa3YVVOI [link] [comments]

DQ11S: I’m being infected by the 2D bug Posted: 14 Jun 2020 04:55 PM PDT So, I'm about 5 hours in to what will hopefully be my first clear of a DQ game. The game is gorgeous, the character art is delightful from portly townsfolk to the standard Toriyama ladies, the voice acting and cutscenes are great, just polished all over right? The combat wasn't totally clicking with me though, it wasn't enough of a problem to make me stop but it wasn't what I would call being hooked as a result. I just got to the Tockle town, which forced me into 2D mode, and did the first quest that's available right away: this is it. The 2D combat is far smoother, faster, nicer, etc. The random battles I prefer, because I was always having to worry "how many of these enemies am I supposed to be fighting?" I don't want to grind too much, but I almost got myself into a really bad situation right after meeting the king, because I just rode straight through from Cobblestone to Heliodor without fighting anything, since I could with the horse easily. After waking up in the church I could barely finish a random battle out front, and had to grind a bit to get back on point. Random battles just take that decision making away and make the world map much less of a snooze. Which leads to my lament.. I like the 3D depictions of the towns and the story events and characters, but much prefer 2D battles and world map/dungeons. It's also not exactly free or intuitive to swap to 2D if that is what I decide, since currently that sends me back to right after Hero and Erik escape through the teleporter, literally two characters joining and at least one boss ago, about 1/4 to 1/3 my playtime, which is kind of baffling to me. Anyone in a similar situation or have guidance? At least knowing when the next chapter starts so I could do a clean cutover would help, though it might make more sense to start over entirely in 2D.. Posted: 14 Jun 2020 01:29 PM PDT I played DQXI a couple of months ago, I'm considering doing a re-run with the retro skin. What is the approx time for a clear? I'm assuming it would go much faster considering it's 2D? [link] [comments]
DQ4 - Finished! Possible Spoilers & Gratitude Posted: 14 Jun 2020 12:56 PM PDT First & foremost, thank you to u/skunkera & u/phoenixdagreat I played it on Android and I put the game down for a while. I made a post a while back how I was stuck and you two guys really helped me get back on track! I was pretty happy I can just skip the Casino! I ended up stealing 6 Liquid Metal Slime Helms with Torneko! I finished high 40s / Early 50s. I also did the bonus chapter, which was a nice twist. Thanks again for the help and glad I came across this sub-reddit! Now I can focus fully on DQXI ! [link] [comments]
Zoom glitch in Dragon Quest 2? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 10:27 AM PDT Has anyone had a glitch where you can teleport to Tantegel super early into the game? I just got the prince of cannock and leveled him up a bit outside of Moonahan. I got the Zoom spell and when i used it I saw that Tantegel was listed as an option, so i traveled there and now im Tantegel at like lvl 12, lmao. I noticed that enemies are stronger and items cost more, which is already a sign of "i think im here too early" so i guess my question is: Has this happened to anyone else? & is this a glitch or is Tantegel supposed to be an option this early? im pretty new to the Dragon Quest series. I just beat the first game on IOS last year and now im finally playing DQ2 on IOS as well. [link] [comments]
DQ11 midgame(?) question [spoilers] Posted: 14 Jun 2020 02:08 PM PDT I'm at the part where the party is separated, and Rab just kicked Pang's ass with her own naughty stick, and I was wondering, since there are some different routes it looked like I could've gone down, particularly with Jade and Rab, do those different choices make a difference? Like I chose to put on the bunny suit for Booga, but what would've happened if I chose not to? Would it just have been a slightly different scene, with Jade still being sent away? Magic in the suit knocks her out at the end of her little separate storyline thing, so what would've happened if I didn't have the suit on? Is one choice more "correct" or canonical for the story than the other? And Rab gets to make a bunch of different choices during his storyline. Do any of his matter? What if I didn't beat Pang? DQ as a series has never seemed to have "choices matter" gameplay, so I'm confused by all this, and I'm certainly not willing to either replay the entire game, or reload a save and play the entirety of these long sections just to satisfy my curiosity when it might turn out to be something like, "if you refuse Booga, he forces you into the suit anyway, and you get sent away like before". If that's the case, I'd be ripshit pissed [link] [comments]
In Dragon Quest 11, where is the guy for "A Walk On The Wildside" quest in Gallopolis? Posted: 14 Jun 2020 03:11 PM PDT I just witnessed the destruction of Edwin's Lantern and remembered that I never took on that quest, but the guy is not in the area he was in previously. If anyone can tell me where he ran off to,I would appreciate it 😁 [link] [comments] |
