But i cant believe that i find this game more fun then majority of modern RPGs i could not get into dragon age i could not get into witcher 3 and many other big RPGs but here i am playing the first dragon quest game and having a super fun time just grinding for levels. Cant wait to play all the other dragon quest games. [link] [comments]

How to heal up in Zenithia in DQ5? Posted: 06 Jun 2020 09:13 AM PDT In DQ V, once you take control of Zenithia and get it mobile, you have a priest but i cant see a place to sleep and heal up? Which is super inconvenient, am I missing something? [link] [comments]

[XI S] Pre-Act 2 Recommended Levels Posted: 06 Jun 2020 01:36 AM PDT Hi all! I'm currently in Arboria and about to travel to Yggdrasil (which I gather marks the end of the first part of the game). My party are all currently around level 35/36 and I've been wondering if any of you would recommend tackling the Tickington sidequests at this point? I've collected a decent amount of pastwords but only did the initial sidequest when I unlocked the area, I put them on the backburner because I found the initial quest a little more difficult than the main game. Is my party strong enough now to start the other quests? Thank you! [link] [comments]

(DQ11) Where to farm red wood in trial isle? Posted: 05 Jun 2020 11:00 PM PDT Where can i get the material in the trial areas? Also, is there any way i can leave the trial area or do i have to beat all three? I'm severely underleveled with an average party level of 48. [link] [comments]
[DQXI] Am I too low level for Abject Terror and Darkest Despair? (And... what else to do in Act 3) Posted: 05 Jun 2020 07:45 PM PDT So I am obviously in Act 3. My party is all between 70 - 74 and Abject Terror + Darkest Despair are just absolutely annihilating me. Where to even begin with this fight? I can never tell if Abject Terror has their "wall of light" up, so Magic Bursting or even Kaboomling with Veronica stands a pretty high risk of making her kill herself. I have everyone wearing Angel's Sandals, but I still get 50% of my party knocked to the floor constantly. Even with Kabuff active, party members get one-shotted constantly. I have no idea which powers are going to deal reasonable damage, and which are going to deal like... 50 (have wasted SO many Pep Powers during this fight). I have beaten them a few times, but it always takes me like 70+ actions because I basically have to commit 2-3 of my party members to defense while like Erik or Jade try to sneak some damage in, not to mention the enemy using Zing and just prolonging the whole affair. Should I just come back when I'm higher level? And if so I'm kind of wondering what else I ought to be doing in Act 3. I *think* I've done every city / town's Act 3 quest, and I have the Supreme Sword of Light. I've done every non-Tickington side quest except Pointless Pride (haven't beaten the final Wheel yet) and whatever quest number 45 is, which is still marked unavailable. I have The Pirate King, King of the World Tree, Warrior Princess, Serenica, Luminary of Legend, Don, High Priestess, and Unswerving Companion sets for my characters. Should I just grind for a bit and go back to Drustan's trial when I'm closer to 80 or what? Sorry if this is a vague question but this is probably the first time in the entire game I've started to feel a little aimless. I know all RPGs reach a certain point towards the endgame where you gotta just go kill the final boss, but I assume I'm not there yet since trial bosses are messing me up so bad. And there hasn't really been another point in this game where I had to just "go grind for a while," so I'm wondering what I could be doing. And if the answer is to just go grind for a while... where's the best place to do that? [link] [comments]
Erdrick's Trilogy: SNES vs Switch Posted: 05 Jun 2020 12:06 PM PDT What are the best ports? I was thinking on playing the SNES versions of DQ 1 and 2, and the remaster of the third. The graphics of DQ 1 2 looks kinda washed out, while the 3rd ir pretty good. But how do the fan translations of the SNES ports hold up? [link] [comments] |
