    Hey everyone

    I played dq 9 when I was younger without the dlc (now I got that old router - if u know u know) and it is to this day the best game I have ever played even without the dlc. I have played a little bit of 6 but apart from that I'm a complete newbie. I now also have 7,8 and 11 (I can play 1-5 on phone)

    So out of what I have at the moment what should I play first?

    and in what order?

    Ultimate Dracconian Quest Challend: Day Two

    Today is Monday, June 8th of 2020. I have died a total of 14-19 times already and am questioning why I am doing this. Luckily I have made my way to the mangrove and am continuosly grinding so I can defeat the tricky devil. I don't think I'll be able to defeat him today (probably two days from now). I heavily encourage highly skilled players to attempt to do this challenge. Also, am I the first to do this?

    TLDR; Died a lot and considering quitting. Grinding to kill the tricky devil

    Edit; I was able to defeat the tricky devil by managing to take down a metal slime and getting the tricky devil to sleep.

    Grind levels through early chapters of DQ4?

    I'm just starting DQ4. I was wondering whether I should bother grinding and leveling up characters in the early chapters or just power through to chapter 5 and grind levels there? Do you need to grind levels in later Dragon Quest games? I've only played the first three old school ones where grinding seems somewhat mandatory.

    Should I try to get the characters in each chapter to roughly similar levels? The chapter format is throwing me off a little here and I'm not sure the best way to approach it. Thanks!

    So I'm almost at the end of Act 3 and I'm wondering if there's anything else I should do before fighting Calasmos.

    –My party is level 77-83

    –I've done every Act 3 story quest and side quest

    –I've beaten all five bosses in Drustan's Labyrinth

    –I have a Supreme Sword of Light +3

    –I've completely filled up my mini medal book

    –I won the jackpot at the casino

    –I've beaten all the horse races

    –I've beaten all of the Wheel of Harma trials, but I wasn't able to do the Final Trial in fewer than 40 moves, and I can't even get past the first round of the Secret Trial

    I'm super excited to take on Calasmos, but I also kind of don't want the journey to end just yet. Is there anything else I should do? Is there anything else I even can do besides Wheel of Harma and Tickington? And will Calasmos annihilate me at this level or do I have a chance?

    Thanks for any advice!

    hi! this is my first post here so sorry if this post gets made a lot, i was just looking for friendly discussion

    i started with dqxi last year after a bit of back and forth. my best friend wasn't a fan but we have always had clashing tastes in games, so i decided to give it a go. i am SO glad i did, i had a blast with it. i found a love in sylvando and erik, i really enjoyed the battle system and story and of course the dialogue. it made me curious to try others.

    i branched out to builders 2 since it caught my eye on the switch e-shop. i was again skeptical because i'm not a creative person and was worried i wouldn't be able to fully enjoy it. glad to say i was wrong and fell in love with another character...my man malroth. again i really enjoyed the story, characters and dialogue.

    now i have just started dqviii and am enjoying it so far (though i'm still adapting to it) but i wanted to ask anyone here: what is your fave game in the series? main or spin-off, doesn't matter. i'm looking to take on more of the games once i finish this one but there's so many i don't know where to go from here!

    open to any and all friendly banter, even if you just wanna tell me your fave characters (but no major spoilers please!) maybe some tips on dqviii too if you've played it :)

    Been playing through the demo (surprisingly long btw) as I have never played a Dragon Quest game before.

    I will absolutely be buying this game but I want to ask, is there any reward for NEVER unequipping Gemma's Charm? I ask this partially because she is a precious little dewdrop who I never want to disappoint and two, this game seems to have a lot going on might actually have this kind of incentive.
