Switch controls iOS for dragon quest casinos. Anyone else use this?

    Posted: 06 Aug 2020 10:10 AM PDT

I recently read a deleted user who put up information about using switch accessibility controls for dq casinos.

It's pretty easy to do and works pretty well. I've even got it to auto grind fights outside of towns. Problem is that it's not an infinite loop.

Has anyone figured out a good way to automate this?

I was thinking about Sippy bird Or some auto tapper device to help?

Just tried it last night on dq5. Lvl 12 just got the prince back and made it to the church and the first casino and in about 4 hours I have 200k tokens using this.

(You don't have yo automate this but here is what I did) Put the gold you have into tokens. Quick save outside Do the far left green 1 coin machine When you win big, stop and go outside and quick save When I had about 3000 tokens I moved to the red one. If you drop below 500 restart your quick save. If you win big, stop and then quick save Make a mental note of how much you can drop before you restart I did about 4K drop before I restarted, and would save immediately if I got a big 6000 win.

Once is got in the high 80k I waited a little longer

Playing DQ11 for the first time and loving, except.. (PS4)

    Posted: 05 Aug 2020 08:38 PM PDT

I love RPGs and JRPGs. I love how in a weird but cool way they're an expressive art form within an art form. They can tell amazing stories that can make you feel all sorts of emotions with characters who you can grow attachments to as if they're your best friends. Tied with all of that there's a sound track with tracks for almost every moment and or new areas you discover.

So far I'm about 10 hours into DQ11 (on PS4) and have already traveled to some different kinds of areas on the over world. I've been loving the visuals and most of the characters. But something I've noticed so far is that, even though I've traveled to some fairly different kinds of areas (forests, plains, mountains and desert areas), the same overworld track is used wherever you go. This isn't a huge make or break for the game but I feel like it takes away from world building and creating diverse areas that you spend alot of time in. But something that I greatly appreciate with RPGs alike let alone Square Enix games is the score that accompanies the experience of the game. Again, this is the first time I've played a DQ game so I didn't know what to truly expect going into to other than the knowledge of it being a long running Square series. But I at least didnt expect this game to have a somewhat lacking OST. That said, the tracks that are featured in this game are honestly really memorable and I've already begun humming them to myself while playing. Other than that I'm super stoked to be getting into this series after hearing how much of a following it has had over the years.

These are just some things that I've been thinking about while I've been starting my adventure but I'm interested in knowing if anyone has similar thoughts to me at all.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2 is getting ported to Smartphones in Japan next month, what can we do to help get this one localized?

New to JRPG's and played a lot of them recently how does DQ relate to any of the games in its genre, new here.

    Posted: 05 Aug 2020 10:27 PM PDT

I'm kinda new to JRPG's since the outbreak I wanted to try different genres of games so I tried JRPG and so far I am enjoying it. I loved FF7 and the remake, FF9, FF8 was meh, started Octopath, and it's so amazing. Also played Paper Mario game.

Okay, let me get to the point. So Dragon quest always interested me because the enemy design and graphics looked so good and had so much life. I'm sick of enemies looking the same in most JRPG but DQ they always have a life to them. 11 has me interested I never ever played one or even know what it is. I just love how it looks and it looks a lot of fun, does the DQ games connect or are they it's own like FF. Also, how is the combat is it like Pokemon?

    Thanks!

Dragon quest 3 solo run update

    Posted: 05 Aug 2020 01:20 PM PDT

Thank you so much for the tips in the last post! I saw that I didn't clarify that I was playing on the switch version of the game, but I dont think that matters since it isn't the impossible nes version. I beat robbin 'ood and I got the boat after grinding outside of alltrades abbey for a few hours. I was going through orochi's cave when I discovered a godsend: the mask of implacability. It's a cursed item that skyrockets your defense, but makes you confused forever. Now I don't know if I'm having crazy luck, but all of my actions are going through. The Confusion status makes you hit your party members sometimes, which is one of the downsides of it. When you have no party members, you're guaranteed to hit the enemy due to the fact there are no party members. I went and kicked orochi's ass twice thanks to the defense of the mask of implacability. Now I'm headed to the one town with the tyrannical king for the mod rod. Finishing this post and just realizing I can't use spells outside of battle due to the mask. At least it works well for boss fights.

My DQ11 Post game Headcannon (spoilers, duh)

    Posted: 05 Aug 2020 10:13 AM PDT

When I finished the game and realized there was more, and that I could get Veronica back, I was thrilled, however, It's also really sad at the same time. Because of the going back in time, Act two, never happened, and your party members have no recollection of those events, which makes me very sad. So... In my headcannon, when your party gets it's firmer gear and stats restored, they also got their memories of act two back, because my heart can't handle the alternative, that being the luminary having bonded with them all over the course of act two, but only he knows this.
