    King Carnelian appreciation post (end of act 1 spoilers)

    So, when we first meet King Carnelian, he throws us in jail and is really the first big "villian" of the game. We eventually come to find out that he's possessed by Mordegon as Yggdrasil falls from the sky. He, along with the rest of the party and Hendrik are flung off of Yggdrasil and survived. Even with Yggdrasil falling, his kingdom falling into ruins, and him having to come to terms that he missed out on raising his daughter and that he was possessed for a decade and a half, he still manages to keep going and helps the Heliodorians and refugees survive at the Last Bastion through his army. It really shows just how strong and good of a leader he is, especially whenever he tells Hendrik to journey with the hero, leaving him basically alone, with no one with close to as high stature as he has. So yeah, King Carnelian is a total chad.

    I am playing DQ 2 on the switch and I'm having the time of my life. But I'm stuck on what to do after getting all of the sigils, I tried looking it up on google to no avail. So I come here to see if anyone knows what to do. Please help

    I got to a town in dragon quest ii switch version and when I healed myself in bed, the prince stayed there and said that he is dying and with a curse, and he couldn't get up. Anyone knows how to cure him?

    question about the grotto bosses

    So it's obvious that the first ten are all parts of Zenus after he was struck down by Corvus. Fowleye states as much, directly telling which parts he, Nemean, and Excalipurr are (eye, head, and arm, respectively). Meanwhile, Sir Sanguinus (blood), Elusid (brain), Hammibal (heart), and Equinox (feet maybe?) are all hinted at in their appearance or description. And I've personally just made a guess that Atlas is the torso, as that would make the most sense given his appearence. He's also kinda weird as he's the only one of them that's a recycled monster from another game. But I have absolutely no idea what Trauminator and Shogum are supposed to represent. Maybe Trauminator is just his anger? But what happened to his other emotions if so? And I have absolutely no leads on Shogum (who, as the description seems to suggest, apparently refers to the slime rather than the knight, which is unusual for slime knight monsters).

    What do you guys think about these two? Or about Equinox or Atlas, as I am still not sure about them either?

    Should I get dragon quest 11

    So I never played a dragon quest game before but this game game looks interesting. I love the art style and I'm itching for a new RPG to get immersed in and get lost in for hundreds of hours.

    Games I've played before if you think it'll help judge If I'd like this game.

    Witcher 3 (favorite game)

    Zelda Breath of the wild (second favorite game)

    The soulsborne series

    Elder scrolls

    Final fantasy

    So those are ones off the top of my head. I'd also be playing on PC if that's of any worth while information.

    In Dragon Quest XI, what tactics do you assign your party members?

    I have never played a Dragon Quest game so I'm not sure if there is certain tactics I should assign to different people. I have them set on Fight Wisely (except for The Luminary) right now and it seems fine but I'm still early on in the game, as everyone gets new skills I would think that tactic might not always work out the best.

    Anyway, what are some suggestions from the veteran Dragon Quest players here?

    DQXIS: Switch to PC Question

    Is there any way to transfer my switch save to PC? I bought it on Switch when it came out but now that it's on PC I'd prefer to continue my save on there (I'm at Gyldygga) because of the whole winter sale and everything.

    So does snooze not affect on the axe knight on mobile dragon quest 1? I've tried it multiple times and it doesn't work. (Really ticked to learn snooze only works on green dragons on NES version. So really hoping this isn't the same problem for the axe knight.)

    This 2020 show introduced me to the world of DragonQuest and it's awesome! I was very emotional in some scenes, I didn't expect to care so much for the characters and love the growth of Popp so far and all the fun magic names! How many episodes and seasons should we expect from this series?

    I got DQXI exactly one year ago and I just can't continue. The story is the most generic one I have ever seen and the characters have no personality. I have played over 45 hours and my current mission is to forge the sword of light or whatever it's called. Unfortunately every day I try to play the game I realize that I'm not enjoying it. You have to constantly grind or the bosses will two shot you. Did you feel that way when you played the game? If so, how did you overcome it?
