    Just started playing my first Dragon Quest ever (XI free on the Xbox Game Pass) and I already love it and am joining the reddit xD

    Just wanted to share this positive beginning and say "hey" to everyone! Looking forward to seeing more and just want to hear about your journeys too!

    This place sucks :/

    I'm on the secret island in the bottom left corner of the map hoping to grind, cause everyone says this place has metal slimes oozing out of its walls. Yet I find them 1 in every like, 40 encounters and 4/5ths of the time they run.

    WHY AM I SO UNLUCKY!?

    Old version on amazon appstore?

    I downloaded Dragon Quest VI for mobile from the Amazon appstore, and then I noticed that it was version 1.0.0 last updated in 2017.

    Then I saw the Google appstore version was 1.1.0 and updated in December 2019.

    Have I wasted my money buying a no-longer-supported old version from the wrong store?

    Lost my DQ4 save data and after a week I decided not to replay it.

    I got used to NES Jank but I just can't force myself to redo it all. made it to Alena's castle after recruiting Ragnar in Chapter 5 and based on what I looked up I don't think I was going to miss much by quitting.

    More so my problem than a problem of the game, the AI controlled party wasn't as annoying as I thought it would be and despite the cheat existing to disable that I never used it. the beginning of Ch5 was heart breaking. when I get back into the mood for this series i'll start the next game.

    maybe when the Z-Trilogy gets ported to switch i'll try again.

    Where was the Guardian?

    Everyone knows that Brigadoom was destroyed by Morag... but how did that happen? Where was the Guardian of Brigadoom when he/she was needed most? Since everyone was talking about the tragedy of Corvus when that was much further in the past, so clearly the Guardian wasn't killed.
