    I've been hunting down games that I used to own and decided to go for the full NA sets of Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy and more. But right now I am focusing on grabbing every DQ games, so far its going slow, but steady at least.

    Help, I'm stuck in Nottagen

    Recently i started playing DQVII (3DS Version) again and finally gotten past the point at which i stopped playing few years ago. I have just defeated the Malign Vine in the past and returned to Nottagen. I went to the big building and talked to the guy who found himself a new pet. According to the guide, this pet should grow quickly and I should have the choice to kill it or not. This is where my problem comes in. I've talked to everyone in town multiple times, but this pet isn't growing at all, nor is anything changing. I know I can leave and continue exploring other islands in the past, but I would like to fully finish this island before I take on others. Am I doing something wrong or did my game just locked me out of this action? Can I continue the story and finish the game in peace, or will these events from Nottagen block me from accessing the ending? I already saved the game after defeating the Malign Vine, so I can't load the previous save. I really love this game and would love to finish it and see the ending to this great adventure. Thank you in advance.

    Dragon Quest VIII Theory: King Trode knew about Rhapthorne

    Playing through the story again and the more I play through; I can't help but shake the feeling that King Trode had an experience with Rhapthorne before or at least one of his ancestors did but sadly I'm not that into the lore. One of the key components I can't shake is how alarmed Trode seems when Dhoulmagous is trying to rip the sceptre from the magic circle. Like, he knows it's not just a family treasure almost. Also, I think that in the 3DS version if I remember correctly, Dhoulmagous actually knew about Rhapthorne in the book? I know others are into the lore and conspiracy theories with Dragon Quest, I enjoy reading them and hearing your thoughts. I wish there was a YouTube channel about it.

    not only did she get all of her powers back as part of her introduction into the party but she actually has been de-aged.

    she got a free 10 years added to her life on top of the whole affair.

    the only thing she can worry about maybe is puberty and teen angst hitting her again but on the whole, it's not a bad deal.

    That monster may have inadvertently found the fountain of youth with only the restriction working of magical users which a portion of the population in the world is.

    So a lot of people on several of the discord servers I am on bring this up since the announcement was they were looking to change the command interface of the combat of DQ12, and to make it "different". Personally, I'm all for them trying out a new interface and a new idea entirely, so long as there is a toggle for a classic full-fledged, glorious turn-based JRPG goodness combat option. Like, if you don't like what is making it "different", then you can just click a toggle to go with what we all know and love.

    [PC/Steam] I was gifted DQ XI S, am I permanently locked out of getting the x3 seeds of skill for completing the demo?

    I know you get x5 seeds of skill, x5 pep pops and two different costumes by default in the definitive edition, but you can also get another x3 seeds of skill by playing the demo and making a save within it. Anyways, this is written on the store page for the game:

     

    *NOTE: Due to the way Steam works, you will be unable to continue to play the demo after purchasing the full game.

    Please be aware that if you purchase the full game before completing the demo, you will no longer be able to receive the completion bonus from the demo.

     

    There's gotta be some kind of workaround for this... right? I mean, why the hell didn't they just make it x8 seeds of skill for Steam users? What if I had played the demo, had a save from it, but Steam Cloud wasn't on and/or didn't back up that save when I built my new PC? I'd never be able to access those items ever again.

     

    It kinda blows my mind that this is even a thing. It's incredibly irritating to me when I miss out on free shit and it's completely beyond my control from the outset. I'm aware they can be farmed in-game after enough progress has been made, but it still rustles my jimmies.

     

    Anyways, does anyone know of a workaround or am I really going to have to edit the game's memory with CE to get those goddamn seeds!? 😂

    Can anyone tell me how to get crysta and a digital code for Dragon Quest X on pc?

    So my new laptop can run X on it and its much more convenient then lugging my ps4 around so I was wondering what is the best way to get a copy of all in one on pc and some crysta. I see on squares website they do sell a download code for the game but I doubt they will except my credit card for it.

    I would like to get dragon quest XI because of the gameplay time and the awesome reviews it got. But ive never played any of the games and know nothing about the story or the characters. Do I need to start with the first game and play all the way up? I would i understand the story immediately just by playing the 11th one?

    How did Rab get around the random drawing? He whispers something in the announcer's ear and the announcer runs off to check with the adjudicator, and apparently it's just...fine? As far as I know they never get around to addressing this.
