    So I just beat Dragon Quest XI definitive editon on ps4 and I enjoyed every bit of the experience. It definitely holds up to other jrpg's like Persona and Xenoblade. I'm not exactly new to turn based games but this was my first DQ game.

    I'm very interested in getting invested in the franchise. Would love to get some recommendations/suggestions for other DQ games. Thanks in advance!

    I'm moderately new to the dragon quest series, only playing a few of the mainline games. I've found the Dragon Quest monster designs to be very appealing, so I was wondering if they're were any dragon quest games that take a Pokemon-like design where you can capture the monsters and battle with them, kind of like Monster Hunter Stories. I am also aware that in some of the mainline games (V and VI I believe) you are able to use some monster in addition to your team, but I am interested to see if theres a game purely based around the monsters.

    So I'm in Act 3, been going around doing miscellaneous quests, just started Trial Isle. All characters are level 99…but monsters still rush towards me when they see me. And it's mildly annoying, especially when I don't need the XP or gold.

    Do they ever stop like they did in the previous two acts after you are too powerful for them, or is it just a constant thing in this act?

    Just finished Dragon Quest 5 and then 4. Quick question.

    Before I write my guts out about these games I want to know if DQ4 post game is worth doing. My party is level 40 and I hear I should level to 43 or 45 before I continue and I don't feel like grinding if it's not worth it.

    With that said I strongly prefer DQ4 over 5. I think 4 is amazing I absolutely loved it while IMO 5 is mediocre at best.

    Critical hit rate increase for Hero, Jade and one other?

    Out of curiosity, I've been doing a bit of looking in to how each characters' pep bonuses work, but no matter where I look, for the Hero, Jade and Hendrik, there's no mention of percentages for their critical hit rate when they get pepped. Does anybody know what the percentage increase is?
    Should I just assume it's 20% like many other pep boosts, and 40% with the pep-up power-up skill tree panel?

    Does dragon quest X online windows free trial no longer work?

    I downloaded the dragon quest x online free trial installer from the dragon quest x site and every time I start up the installer it gives me a error, I used google translate and it roughly translates to something about a command line not meeting the setup. Is there another way to access the windows free trial?
