Sure its lacking in QOL and modern controls but otherwise its excellent! It scratches every itch, I'm a massive rogue like and pokemon fan and I love the old style turn based rpgs. The fact maps are different each time is great and the sense of progression in the breeding aspects is fun too. I love that they are actual monsters as well, some are horrifying! What's the general opinion of this game? I've spent 7 hours and I'm only at rank E. I am wanting to do as much as I can in this one before picking up DQM2 as I hear that is even better. From classic ones such as Sages, to wacky ones like Shepherds. I'd go for all of these! If not, Druids. | Regret disabling stronger monsters in DQ XI Posted: 15 Aug 2021 05:11 AM PDT After getting my ass whooped many times by Tentacular I thought "omg, this is impossible, already tried different strategies but it's fucking impossible". So I decided to disable stronger monsters because I didn't want to lose much time in boss battles like these and now I regret that decision so much because all fights now are so mind numbing that I'm not enjoying them at all. Justed defeated that Elysium Bird and it felt totally not satisfying. I already have 40+ hours so it'll be quite sad to restart it from zero. Idk, maybe I could do it, or maybe I could just play another game and try it again in the future. Anyone had any similar experience with it? [link] [comments] | ||

Im not that much of a fan of JRPGs especially after persona 5 because when I played that on hardest difficulty I was barely even paying attention during battles since they were extremely easy. | Is level 43 high enough to defeat Mordegon? Posted: 14 Aug 2021 07:49 PM PDT I keep trying the Mordegon fight over and over - once I got to the 2nd stage and killed Mordragon, but then Mordragon's tail brought him back to life and I died... But now I just keep dying over and over on the 1st stage. I had been focusing on buffing Jade and using Multithrust, recently I've been trying using Erik Divide + Victimizer, but rarely even getting the Lord of Shadows to orange. It's just so easy for him to one-shot-kill pretty much any party member, trying to set up buffs seems like such a gamble. So, is level 43 just not high enough? Should I grind, and if so, how? Or should level 43 be OK if I change tactics? [link] [comments] | ||
