| Act 2 proper order (may contain spoilers) Posted: 16 Aug 2021 03:33 AM PDT Hello, I'm playing DQ XI S (it's my first time playing this game since I didn't get the standard version released in 2018) and I' m not sure about what is the order I should follow. I have already recruited the party members back and visited Arboria, so I am supposed to go to a floating island, but I haven't been to Gallopolis and Hotto yet. I don't know if I should have visited them before since the beginning of act 2 seems a little bit confusing to me. I would appreciate if spoilers could be avoided in commentaries, I just want to confirm the game's order since people in forums write different development of the story events. Thank you all. | Posted: 15 Aug 2021 11:13 PM PDT So I've just finished DQ2, and THANK GOODNESS. Don't get me wrong, I loved the game, but that final fight lasted literally forever. Anyway, I'm kind of a little bit tired of the whole "Right, so there's a big ugly bad guy trying to destroy the world and now you get to go deal with him! Cheers!" aspect that 1 and 2 share, and from what I've heard you get even less direction in 3. Is it as nonlinear as the first two? Is it worth playing right away or should I skip to 4 and then come back? [link] [comments] | ||

| How does DQIV's Boom Town work? (mobile version) Posted: 15 Aug 2021 01:13 PM PDT I finished the story, and now I'm working on the postgame. I wanted to get more mini medals to get the Liquid Metal Sword, so I looked them up and found out I missed the entire Boom Town / Pioneer Town sidequest. Is it too late for me to start it now? I told the nun about the town and she went there, then I told Rocky and his wife and they went there, but now I'm not sure what I need to do to advance the quest. The town is still completely empty. | Dragon Quest VIII On Mobile Any Tips To Streamline The Game? Posted: 15 Aug 2021 09:25 PM PDT Played the 10 hour dragon quest 11 demo on PC and loved it. While waiting for a price drop I decided the play Dragon Quest 8 on mobile which is the only version I have access to. Loving the game and am already at Trodain, but I really would like tips to strengthen my party/streamline the battles so that I don't have to spend as much time fighting random enemies. Currently I fight random encounters, heal after every battle (scared of dying causing me to retreat from dungeons), and repeat for hours on end. I think the cycle is good but TOO heavy on the random encounters. If anyone had suggestions to strengthen my party, easy alchemy pot items to get without using the casino, or exploits like crafting items and selling them for gil it would really help the pace to get me to finish the game. Any general tips or secrets at this point would be super helpful! [link] [comments] | ||
