    Question on weapon.

Ign says wizard rod. I've spent several hours searching, fighting and using suggested attacks and can't collect that rod. All I'm getting is holy water and staffs. Do I need to have someone specific in the party to get that? Right now it's just Erik and hero.

Bought DQXIS because of eshop sale

    Posted: 13 Aug 2021 02:52 AM PDT

I played DQXI back then on the 3DS when XIS just got released, and was content with playing it in chibi style graphics cause I didnt own a Switch at that time.

Yesterday as I was browsing through twitter, I saw Famitsu post about summer holiday game sale, and DQXIS is sold at around 3500JPY, which is quite cheap in my opinion considering its the 'gorgeous pack'( dont really know whats included).

So, now I am 4 games up in my library with DQ11S, 1-3, full complete Loto series games.

I have never played DQ 1-3 before, so thats where I plan to start first before 11S. But then I feel like putting DQ2&3 aside and play 11 first and enjoy the new things that is not in 3DS version after I finish DQ1.

The temptation to play 11 and skipping 2&3 is strong.Haha

    What to do after DQ2

    Posted: 13 Aug 2021 02:37 AM PDT

I finished DQ1 on Switch for the first time yesterday, and currently doing my first ever DQ2 playthrough. I wanted to know, what should I do after that? Buy the remake Switch version or wait for the 2D-HD remake version?

We are not even sure of when DQ3 2D-HD is supposed to come out so I could be waiting a very long time...

I want to give DQ 11 a try but...

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 10:58 AM PDT

I heard someone mention that DQ 11 combat is pretty traditional in its turn based combat and lacks a turn order indicator(this specifically is a minor turn off). I'm not a super big fan of jrpgs, but I did enjoy a few like octopath's combat. Has anyone here dropped the game because of the combat?
