DQXI Act 2: what are the best places to grind in for exp? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 02:53 AM PDT My party is now at lvl 50-51 after grinding through dungeons and fighting multiple enemies in one round (as i found that the more enemies per round, the higher exp i get). I've been trying to do the same routine but I think my party's already too strong for most monsters I encounter. I'm just wondering where else I can go to grind for more exp? Other than the fortress of fear. [link] [comments]
Where did all the monsters come from?? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 05:13 PM PDT My 5 year old loves DW4, and she's been asking me tons of questions about it. She wants to know when / how the monsters first appeared. I don't really have a proper answer for that. The same goes for parts 1-3, etc. Are there any clues in any of the games? Thx! Posted: 30 Sep 2021 04:26 AM PDT Hello, I am now playing DQ3 and in the city where there were Somatic Staffs, the NPCs told me how good this weapon is for my mage and priest: I was surprised how much HP do they deal the damage with this staff, but now I looked closely and was surprised again: it uses some MPs. To prevent MP loss I did "Defend", but it seems that defending with Somatic Staff also uses some MPs: that means the Priest or Mage will have decreased MPs in every turn: do you think this weapon is still worth it? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 09:11 AM PDT Hello everyone. Currently playing Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 and having a blast. It's everything I have ever wanted in a Monsters game, and the most comfortable one so far. It ranks in my top 5 Dragon Quest games, despite the fact that I wasn't very impressed by previous entries. However, I have reached a roadblock: the first encounter in the boss rush previous to the final boss: Boshock. He is giant, so he gets to act 3 times per turn; reduces my defense with Helm Splitter and attacks in area. That's all fine and dandy; no problem with that. But I do have a problem with him cutting my healing in half until it's no longer effective, and I don't get what's causing it. I assume it's his Dark Shackles attack, but I am not too sure. Not a fun boss IMO. My current team is:
All of my monsters have an offset of between 30 and 50, and have above 500 HP minimum. What should I do? Should I "reincarnate" this monsters to get them with better offset/rank, or should I get new monsters? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Sep 2021 06:33 AM PDT After playing Dragon Quest XI S and loving the Tickington quests I decided I'd start playing the old school 2D games, but in Japanese since I'm also studying Japanese right now. The Super Famicom version of 1 wasn't too bad and I'm pretty late in 2 I think now (3/5 crests obtained) and while it has some weird quirks like reading 鋼鉄 as はがね or 織機 as おりき it hasn't been too bad either. But in playing XI S in English there was a lot of weird old English peasant style language. While Dragon Quest 1 and 2 in Japanese have had a lot of very old sounding Japanese, I have run across nothing anywhere near as tough to decipher as that old English peasant language would be for non-native English speakers. Does that kind of talk get folded into later Dragon Quest games in Japanese too? Kind of wondering if the Japanese will get harder the later I go into the series or if it'll get easier since I'll be more used to it (eg all the honorifics and old style JP speech like I see in the first two games). Loving the series BTW. Plan to play them all, and in the native language, at some point. [link] [comments]

Slight twitch to the same old question - Which DQ2 to play? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 03:01 AM PDT My options are: Switch - Can play this one during downtime at work. Downside would be the only version that costs money (though I technically own DQ1/2 on GBC it's somewhere at my parents house possibly lost.. GBC - This would played through emulator on a modded GBA(backlit IPS screen) so I would have save states. I can also play this one during downtime at work. SNES - I've got a sd2snes and my snes hooked up to a nice CRT. This is the version I'm leaning towards. If you had these 3 options, which one would you guys pick? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Sep 2021 10:31 AM PDT Does anybody know if Sylvando's Gold Rush ability scales off any of his stats? If so, which one? I've been wondering a while about this, but I've not found any answers. [link] [comments] |
