I'm thinking about buying DQ XI on Steam as it is on sale and would like to know if as a first timer, if I can play the game. Will I not understand the plot? Will I miss anything? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 07:55 AM PDT It says that Metal Slash can deal more damage to enemies made of metal but all I get is the standard damage and no high damage like how Dragon Slash deals so much damage to a dragon. Posted: 10 Oct 2021 08:40 AM PDT Attempting to get the trophy for having all outfits, went through haggling with the two brothers in Gondolia and finally bought the cat suit, moved on to the other outfits. Collected all the other outfits and now the cat suit is not in my inventory and the game says "never owned." Went back to Gondolia to buy it again, both brothers give me one sentence responses but won't sell it to me again. Is there some other way to obtain this for the trophy, or do I need to load an earlier save and go through getting all the outfits again? [link] [comments] | ||

| Recommended Level for Post-Game Content? Posted: 09 Oct 2021 01:19 PM PDT First post on this subreddit, woo! Anyway. I recently picked up Dragon Quest XI because it was on the Xbox Game Pass and I've honestly been having a blast with it! My issue is I'm in the post-game content now with Calasmos being the main threat to Erdrea, and everything is easily defeating me. All my characters except for Veronica are below Level 50 and grinding for experience is getting tougher and tougher. Are there any good farming spots in the world? My luck with Metal Slimes on the Slime Island are horrible, and I don't have that Pep Power combo people keep talking about with Jade that makes them. Also because I don't really want to spec Jade outside of how I have her. [link] [comments] | ||

For some reason I have trouble finding enough info about this and always get mixed answers. Most stuff that come up on searches is just the original release on ps4 compared to the switch version.
