I'm looking for new manga to read and I saw the Dragon Quest Monsters series on Amazon. I am considering getting it? How is the series as a whole. No spoilers of course.

What do the different skill icons mean?

Hi all! I've tried searching for this, but I'm not having much luck. Can anyone explain what the different colored icons next to the skills in the Character Builder mean?

For example, Flame Slash has a red "swoosh"-like icon. Others have a blue "up arrow" icon or a yellow "wing" icon, etc.

I've gotten 4 of the 6 orbs. The red one, silver, yellow, and green orbs. I asked Marina where to go after defeating the Elysium Bird and her clue leads me to sniflheim. But I can't get in. The front gate is iced over and the back door is one of those red doors I can't open. I went back to marina and she said the same riddle, how in the heck do I get into sniflheim?

I'm at the point where you meet your first party member and the king tries to imprison you. I've read some posts talking about Acts, what does that mean exactly? Like is Act 3 an optional thing?

Advice for someone going through Dragon Quest 3 for the first time?

I've always been a final fantasy guy, but do have a memory of slogging through Dragon Warrior on NES. I think it put a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I read recently that the GBC version is much more managable, so using my Anbernic 351v with turbo and FastForward, whooped it's ass in one day. It was pretty fun.

I decided to go through all of them. I'm currently in DQ2 grinding around the final castle (Levels are 36, 33, 28 rn - going for a few more). I should be able to beat it by tonight.

Also this evening, I plan on starting 3 as soon as I'm done with 2.

I have both a patched version of SFC version on my PC, or I was just gonna do the GBC version on my 351v. Wanted to ask ya'll opinion.

Anyway, I just wanted to ask if there was anything I should keep in mind in DQ3, esp with 1 and 2 being so recent in mind? Also the guide I used for 2 is really starting to salt my melons, so if anyone has walkthrough they think is good, I'd love to know.

So I need a devil to make a monster I want, so I'm trying to get another gremlin. However if I use an item my monsters just kill it after one item. Can you make your monsters not attack if you're using items? Thanks.

Hmm? Can't leave my yggdrasil leaf in the pot, to get another. Wheni leave the pot, and back out, it goes back into my inventory.
