Potentially easy way to farm Seeds of Skill Posted: 11 Oct 2019 06:40 AM PDT So I've noticed that everytime I come back to the Imperial Pantry of Parthenia through the Tockle side quest, the cannibox at the bottom always respawns. And since beating them is a guaranteed seed of skill, this could be a relatively quick way to farm them. I've been back about 3 times now and each time it respawns. I'm going to test it more now that I've noticed and let people know what I find out. [link] [comments]

First time playing, met Michelle. [Minor spoiler] Posted: 11 Oct 2019 01:43 AM PDT So I'm playing Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition, and I got to the part where you go through Michelle's story, and I gotta say, that was probably the hardest I've cried during a video game in a very long time! Are all Dragon Quest games like this? Have I been missing out on great stories this whole time?! [link] [comments]
(SPOILERS) How my battle with the final boss of the main quest went in DQ11S Posted: 11 Oct 2019 04:49 AM PDT I had just taken out the head. Only the tail remains and everything appears to be in my favor for the most part, just when the tail is getting close to death, all of a sudden...Zing! Here comes Mordegons ugly face again. Before I know it I am on my last legs. Eleven, Serena, Rab, Jade, Hendrick, all dead. Only Erik and Sylvando, my underused wildcards remain. I leveled Erik up to dual wield boomerangs and daggers, and Sylvando uses whips exclusively. Extremely effective as support characters, but a far cry from ideal when it comes to racking up damage against the final boss, or so I thought. First thing I did was have Erik use mountain mover on the head. I kept them both alive by having Sylvando spam the living shit out of Hustle Dance, while having Erik cast sigils and dagger abilities. I thought "Great, i'm totally boned and theres no way out of this." But they fucking pulled through and laid that zombie demon CatDog lookin bitch out. Victory was mine, I couldn't believe it! I stayed up way too late running around the overworld wrapping things up and avoiding the existential dread that is the post game. But what an experience man, I'll never forget this game as long as I live, easily in my top 3 i've ever played. also wanted to say thank you to Happyconsolegamer and GC Positive for introducing me to the series years ago, without those youtube channels I might have never played this mastapeece. Edit: I should've worded it better, but i'm not really avoiding the post game, I was just scared to start it and lose Hendrick and all my other characters abilities and whatnot. Plus the thought of leaving them behind like that just bummed me out. But alas, omw to stomp puny little bitch version Mordegons face in. [link] [comments]

The little boss rush in the final altar is absurdly hard Posted: 11 Oct 2019 09:35 AM PDT Like holy shit its tough on stronger enemies, especially the third part. I probably just suck but I just had to abuse yggdragons blessing and Veronica magic burst just to beat them 💀 [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Oct 2019 08:49 AM PDT This is my first DQ game ever and I'm really enjoying it. One of my favorite things in this game is the enemy list and I'd really like to complete it. I was just wondering if there are enemies you can accidentally skip in certain sections and you would never be able to fight them again. If there are, I would love to know which ones. Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Oct 2019 10:39 AM PDT Hi, I'm new at Dragon Quest games (I played one when I was 6 so I don't remember) and I don't know whether or not should I select any Draconian request, and which ones should I activate in case I should. I've heard It's a super easy game so I'm activating the Super Strong enemies for sure... I'm kinda used to Persona games, so I hope It's a challenge and thank you for the attention [link] [comments]
Dragon Quest XIS. Is there any way to make the game harder when you are 70h+ in without restarting? Posted: 11 Oct 2019 06:51 AM PDT Hi folks! I am currently playing the Switch version of DQXI and I absolutely adore it. After playing most of the classic ones, I was expecting a fair challenge, and knowing the saga for it's difficulty, I started the game in "normal mode", without any Draconian Quest active. The case is that by now, the game has become a way-too-easy experience, and I can end basically any boss battle in a couple turns and common enemies in a single hit, killing part of the experience. I would love to activate the "less xp" and "harder enemies" Draconian Quests, but I know that you can't change those settings without restarting. I didn't grind or farm at all, but I like to think my strategies, upgrade my gear and complete every side quest, which led me to overpowerness. What can I do to make this awesome game challenging again? Thanks for your replies! [link] [comments]
Any way to turn off battle chatter DQ11S. Posted: 11 Oct 2019 10:30 AM PDT It's becoming overwhelming and I don't want the characters to be a mute outside of combat, just not have to hear them repeat the same thing during battle. [link] [comments]
Conflicting choices...Spoilers! Posted: 11 Oct 2019 10:21 AM PDT Ok so I'm playing through 11S and I'm currently in the second part (Game completed on PS4) and I'm trying to decide who I want to marry. I don't have Serena or Veronica yet but I'm in the Briscoletti Mansion doing the wedding rehearsal. I was SET on marrying Jade but her dialogue in this portion makes it very clear that the luminary is her last choice as a husband. Without spoiling what she says exactly, is her dialogue different when choosing her when you actually make the wish? [link] [comments]
Help! Missing a Treasure in Sniflheim! Posted: 11 Oct 2019 09:58 AM PDT Heyo! I've been running around Sniflheim for the better part of a half-hour because nose for treasure tells me there is one more treasure. I've looked at guides and videos but I got everything they showed. Is there a new item somewhere in DQ11 S? [link] [comments]

What are the odds of Dragon Quest Walk being released outside Japan? Posted: 11 Oct 2019 08:48 AM PDT Can anyone here see it happening? Or does it seem more like a DQX situation? [link] [comments]
[Need Help for the final boss (Act 3)](#spoiler) Posted: 11 Oct 2019 05:40 AM PDT My party is Hero, Jade, Erik, Rob. Everybodys level is in their mid-80s. Any advice is welcome. [link] [comments]
I'm Missing 2 Pieces of Treasure in 11S and it's driving me crazy Posted: 11 Oct 2019 11:12 AM PDT So I was super excited about the new 'nose of treasure' spell that was added in S, and it is pretty cool. Side effect being I got totally obsessed with rinsing every area clean of treasure lol. Using online guides from time to time I've gotten pretty far while finding everything, but I'm missing 1 piece of treasure from phnom nonh and one from the bottom floor of l'academie's interior. Neither has a silver door, and I've already opened the red door in both since I'm in act 2. Most online guides with maps from the original game don't have anything I haven't already checked. So my question is: does anyone have any idea what these missing treasures might be? Are they tokkles that appear later (if they count toward the treasure total), something that appears later but still counts, or maybe something I've just missed? Any suggestions would be much appreciated [link] [comments]
It is viable to not visit weapon, armor, and item shops in DQ1 Posted: 11 Oct 2019 05:09 AM PDT Played DQXI last year and now I wanna go through the series from the start. In XI it was perfectly viable to never visit shops. Is that viable in DQ1 or is this a game where grinding and buying its and equipment is just about necessary? Playing the Switch version [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Oct 2019 10:38 AM PDT On steam why isn't it detecting the fact that I'm using a ps4 controller. It still has the Xbox buttons showing. [link] [comments] |
