Is it worth it to play DQ XIS: DE with Strong Monsters on?

    Posted: 19 Nov 2019 09:08 AM PST

First let me say that I have beaten DQ 1,2 and 3 on iOS. DQ 4 (DS) and DQ 8 (PS2).

I am 4 hours into DQ XIS:DE with Strong Monsters on. I only have 2 characters and just reached Kingsbarrow. The game just seems kind of unbalanced. Will this eventually correct itself or will it remain like that for the entirety of the game? I want a game where I have to use all abilities, and magic, etc. But is kind of not fair when normal enemies attack you 3 times In one turn! Lol. I ah e already flee from fights more than in any other DQ game. For example I was fighting against a crab. I run out of magic. One crab defended itself so I could only do 1 HP damage. Then healed the other crab 40HP. Then they called a third crab. I am stuck in an un winnable situation where my only chance is to flee while they do 10HP damage per hit.

(Act 1 Spoilers) ~ Audio bug in Phnom Nohm

    Posted: 18 Nov 2019 09:38 PM PST

I was in the DQ discord just now and someone linked a video of an audio bug during the mural cutscene in Phnom Nohm on the Switch version. (video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dtg4Ls-aOtg&feature=youtu.be )

Veronica's moans are just the Japanese dubbed ones, and Jade doesn't grunt while trying to open the door, along with no one grunting while the light is shining. I tested it out and the bug only seems to happen in the English dub, japanese dub is fine. Has anyone else encountered this? Thought?

    DQ9 DLC 100%

    Posted: 18 Nov 2019 04:00 PM PST

So recently I busted out my old af copy of dq9. After looking up some stuff I managed to get the extra quests and the characters rooms unlocked in Stornoway Inn. I'm just curious, with just these unlocked how much of the DLC stuff I'm missing. Also, is it still possible to complete all of the extra quests without access to the DQVC shop thing. Never finished the game so would love to do as much as possible during this playthrough.

First Time Playing a DQ Game (DQ11)

    Posted: 18 Nov 2019 03:30 PM PST

Absolutley loving the game so far did not expect to love it this much. Just unlocked the boat and I feel like the game just expanded into a full blown open world game. Rather then fully story driven A to B. Without spoilers am I pretty much right about that. It kind of blew my mind. Sort of like Final Fantasy 7 does when you get the airship.
