    Its probably been asked or stated somewhere but what version of dq3 is on the switch? As in is it the nes or gameboy version? I do know they changed the graphics but there are slight nuances between the two versions.

    I've just beaten the Khalamari squid boss and had Jessica join my party. But both Hero & Yangus's weapons disappeared. Did I miss something in the dialogue? Is this supposed to happen or did something go wrong? Boomerang & some type of axe. Both aren't in their inventory or in the bag..

    Is there any news on DQ XI definitive edition coming to pc? I’m debating which DQ to replay.

    I'm debating replaying either DQ IX or XI with some kind of added challenge and if there was a date for the definitive edition coming to pc that would help my decision.

    Anyone else think Dragon Quest 6's Final Boss is Too Difficult?

    It's a huge difference from literally everything before him.

    I honestly hate it. I'm not asking for an easy fight, but dear god, this is too difficult...

    My team is about levels 44 to 45, I don't want to sit for literal hours grinding for levels just to beat some boss that shouldn't be this hard, I don't care that it's the final boss... it's absurdly difficult.

    How are we expected to beat it at this point in the game? And it doesn't even keep the phase that it's on, like other games usually do. It forces you to go through the whole thing from the start again, and I just can't do that.

    I admit I may not have the most optimal team mates to handle this, but I shouldn't be forced to use certain ones to win.

    I give up on this. I just don't want to grind for levels when it takes like 20 minutes just to level up once.

    What DQ is best on the App Store?

    Essentially just title. I got a $50 gift card from a relative and I decided to pick up one FF and one DQ game. The only other game I played was DQ9 when I was younger so I don't have much experience with the series our side of that.

    Just curious which battle themes people generally like. Based on what I've heard mine would be:

    1. Dragon Quest V
    2. Dragon Quest VIII
    3. Dragon Quest VI (I've heard people don't like DQVI, but I might just play it for the battle theme alone)
    4. Dragon Quest IV
    5. Dragon Quest XI (particularly the longer variant)

    [DQXI] Cheat-engine enable noclip or teleport? On latest stem version

    Does anyone have such codes? Or a mod that removes boundary's would be cool to explore a bit. Or to spawn any mount anywhere.

    Do you consider the lack of voice acting in DQ VIII for iOS a deal breaker?

    Haven't seen my 3DS in years, so currently iOS is my only means to play. I played the demo of XI on my Switch and loved it but I hear VIII is the ideal way to start the franchise. I'm entirely new to the DQ universe so I really wanna get into it (especially since I didn't enjoy Final Fantasy IX). I don't really mind the lack of the two additional party members or the port having MIDI music, but I hear the voice acting in VIII is what made the game so successful here in the US.

    On the other hand, there are soooo many games, new and old, that lack voice acting and still offer a fantastic experience.

    What do you think? Does the lack of voice acting hinder the game's overall presentation and enjoyment?

    About the Pace of DQ1-3 Ports and Remakes

    Hello everyone,

    a little while ago I played through the GBC version of Dragon Quest 1. I enjoyed the game far more than had I thought I would, and I think that came in large parts from the great pace of that particular version. I read somewhere that the GBC and SNES remakes of DQ1 reduced the need for grinding severely from the original NES version. Here's my question: did DQ2 and 3 get the same treatment for the GBC and SNES versions, and does that hold true for the mobile iterations (including the Switch port) as well?

    Issue with the Demo?

    Hello, I ordered the game from Amazon the day after Christmas, but while I'm waiting for delivery I figured I would try the demo as it's pretty long and I can carry the saves over. But Now I'm having an issue with a quest not completing?

    I'm in downtown Heliodor with the blue hair guy who helped me escape from the dungeons (I can't remember his name) and I have to get past the guard who's afraid of dogs. On my way into downtown I saw the tree with buzzberries, so I already have them, and I bought holy water from the merchant too, but when I speak to the little girl with the dog all she does is repeat her spiel about what she wants, even though what she wants is already in my inventory?

    Any tips?
