| The "Dark Horse" accolade... Sweet Jesus Posted: 02 Jan 2020 11:24 PM PST The degree of precision needed to beat the Champion's Challenge time of 1:04 on the Black Cup is totally unreasonable. Not only do you have to execute perfectly, but there's a random element in the placement of certain boost spots. The most difficult thing in any main-series Dragon Quest game, bar none. It's the only accolade I have left to obtain, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to do it. After about 90 minutes of nonstop attempts I haven't been able to finish in under 1:06. It's like only having the Timewyrm be possible to beat if your whole party has 999 in every stat and each of your moves is a crit. Holy ass. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 02 Jan 2020 05:50 PM PST I picked this game up because I was absolutely looking for something comfy; I like a lot of classic RPGs (Especially NES and SNES FF games, Earthbound etc). With games like FF1 and Earthbound under my belt I thought I would LOVE this. I've never played a DQ game before but I always heard the battle system in Earthbound is reminiscent of it and classic RPGs are fun! It's... Okay so far? I just met Veronica and we're on our way to rescue Serena. I'm not having a bad time, I'm just not hooked. I don't mind the battle system, but it's early game so it doesn't feel like I need to think too much. The game is still decently fun (I can't STAND much of the music though). Is this one just not for me? Can y'all give me something to look forward to? [link] [comments] | ||

Does anyone know if I can transfer my PC save (about 8 hours in - just arrived in Gondolia) to the Switch? Not for cross-play, but so I don't lose my progress? So I just got Jade back from Booga, and I was curious about what the community thought had happened between them. But after some quick research most people are saying that it was sexual because of the Jade's line in the end. But I really don't think anything like that happened because of the letters between booga and boodica, where booga was saying that maybe in 10 years time they would a really romantic mood to finally hold hands as if it was something outrageous. And again after Booga turns Jade in a demon he says again that maybe he and Jade will hold hands as if it's something super taboo. So are you telling me that he needs 10 years to hold hands but would have sex with Jade in a couple weeks? Don't think so. What you all think? [link] [comments] | ||
