    Questions regarding DQ8 builds and gear. Spoliers, I guess.

    So I'm in the second town right now with Hero and Yangus at level eight. Hero has eight points in Courage (I wanted Zoom early) and four points in spears even though I haven't found a spear yet. Yangus has five points in Humanity (trying to get his Heal spell) and 14 points in Fisticuffs with the goal of 42 points there before maxing out Axes.

    My questions are these: should I keep Yangus unarmed while I'm dumping points into Fisticuffs since he gets +10 agility and other perks while unarmed or give him an axe for the extra attack power? Should I equip whatever has the most attack power or have them stick with the weapon type(s) I'm dumping points into?

    I haven't come across one unless I'm being blind, I'm trying to get the level 82 dungeon done for the 'perfect clear' because the sword looks cool as hell. I assume 'perfect clear' is no items or deaths?

    I'm a 70 warrior with the £40 set.

    Just finished Dragon Quest 3 (and Erdric Trilogy)!

    Just beat Zoma after he destroyed me several times and I can honestly say, what a game! I knew it was going to be better than previous games, but was certainly not expecting such an upgrade after DQ2. Everything was like at least 10 times better than its predecessors and the game was huge. I seriously can't believe this is an NES game. The huge world, day and night cycle, how Immigrant Town changed etc must've been groundbreaking for an NES game. I played the GBC version and it was a joy. I seriously can't praise this game enough. It left me with lots of memorable experiences. It could go from dark moments like elf-human lovers and Ortega's final fight to funny ones like Immigrant Town etc without feeling out of place.

    I have some questions though, and I'd be very glad if someone could help me with them. 1) Is the post game worth it? I might want to beat Xenlon to revive Ortega(since it feels like the proper conclusion) but I wonder how long it'll take for me to grind. Is the grind for post game bearable/tolerable? What is the required level to beat it? 2) Even though I loved the game, one thing that disturbed me is how I could only target monster groups instead of individual monsters. Does this get fixed in future games? (planning to play DQ4-5-6 DS next)

    After dozens of hours, I can say that DQ3 officially made me a DQ fan. Even though DQ1 was short and sweet and DQ2...had some good ideas, it took until 3 to blow my mind. I can't thank Smash enough for giving me the final push to get into the series. By the way, does the ending remind anyone else the ending of FF3? I couldn't help but think about it when the darkness lifted and sun rose after the evil was gone. Baramos and Zoma also have a connection like Xande and Cloud of Darkness. Actually, this game overall reminds me of FF3 a lot. Not that I'm complaning, it's one of my favorite FFs. The fact that this came out 2 years before FF3 is mind blowing.

    I think I'll take some time away from the series to rest, but will surely return for DQ4 soon! I've heard lots of praise about it. After concluding the Erdrick trilogy in such a high spot, I'm excited for more! Also, Erdrick really felt like an epic hero after witnessing his journey. All the talks about him were not for nothing. Sorry for the wall of text, just wanted to share my thoughts :)

I know about all the techniques but none worked for me no matter how many times I did it. I won the jackpot off good ol' RNG. This is the proudest moment in gaming history lmao...     Dragon Quest 11, no boss theme?

    So I just has the sisters join my party and have had encountered several boss battles. I brushed it off as "well maybe they are just normal enemies" like the griffins and such, but when I got to Jarvis its like... this is definately a unique boss. To my dismay it just played the already tired generic battle theme again. Did I turn some sort of setting off unknowingly or is there just no boss theme in this game (because that seems rediclous)? Of course this being in Cryptic Crypt, which looks EXACTLY like Kingsbarrow, the literal last duengon encountered that looked exactly the same.

    Still having a hard time getting into this game. Everybody praises it so much but 8 hours in and it's still pretty underhwelming. Somebody give me some positive reinforcement lol, am I still just behind some sort of intro sequence before things get better.

    Best build advice for a certain party member? (DQ11 Draconian Mode)

    SPOILERS AHEAD. BEWARE

    So I just got Jade and am a little disappointed. I was expecting a Martial arts tree, but instead the fisticuffs tree is just a bunch of passives.

    I went and grabbed Pep Power Boost first since that's just good and now am uncertain of where to go. Spears looks best weapon wise, but her charm skills are good. Her fisticuffs tree doesn't look stellar, but I can imagine some really good attacks come from it.

    I've been told she's bad late game, but I've also been told she best dps-wise. Could I get some input

    Have I beaten DQ11?

    I completed as much as I could beat the final boss (calasmos) but after i tried beating overweening pride about 20 times I gave up. My party is all level 99 and this was the last trial (I had taken all options but the marriage option). Is it worth beating him to play whatever else there is or have I played 99% of the game already?
